I laid in my bed, staring up at the ceiling, deep in thought about all the events that happened that day.
I felt relaxed thanks to the shower I took before laying down.
Mikasa was sitting on a nearby bench in my room, keeping an eye on me. The scarf I gave her as a child was in her lap. She sat there, caressing it in silence. Looking down sadly, worry evident on her face.
She was going on asking me if I needed anything and how I was feeling.
"I already told you I'm fine."
She sighed, and let go of the topic.
"Mikasa..you should really go to bed..I'll still be here in the morning. Where would I go anyway?"
I looked at her with concern. It was obvious she was tired, seeing her eyes hang low, and gaining a lowly expression.
We began to hear footsteps coming from down the hall, and towards my door.Mikasa perked up, and was ready to pounce at any time if she needed to. Being the person I am, I always had people trying to kidnap me, kill me, and possibly eat me, so I was able to understand her tactics.
The footsteps ended up going past my door and further down the hall, to the rooms next to me.
I took a deep breath and looked down at my lap tiredly. Mikasa sighed and loosened up.
"Okay...I guess I'll go now.."
"Yeah, good night. Sleep well okay?"
"I'll try, thanks. Good night Eren."
She stood up and walked out of my room, shutting the door behind her.
Finally, I was alone and comfortable. I layed in my bed and continued to stare at the ceiling, thinking of the Captain.
After a while of my thoughts running wild, I finally closed my eyes and began to drift off into a deep sleep, letting my fatigue take over and consume my soul.
