The Day I'd Never Forget

Chapter 5

"What is it, Sasha..?" His voice was low and emotionless. I couldn't tell if he was upset with me or not..

"Sir, the horses are ready to go! Mikasa sent me to inform you!"

Once Sasha reached us, she stood up straight and held her fist to her heart in salute to the Captain.

"Good."
Levi began to stand up but ended up stumbling slightly like a drunken old man.

"Fuck.."

"Sir!" Sasha shouted, able to catch him in preparation for if he were to fall.
"What happened to you?"

"Nothing. I was on my knees for a while, my legs must've fallen asleep. I'll just walk it off."

Levi was acting a bit...off to me. He usually didn't show pain unless it was major. His legs only fell asleep..

"Uh- yes sir." Sasha let go of Levi and stepped back.

"Oh yeah, Eren."

"Yes?"

"Mikasa also told me to carry you back to the horses. She told me you couldn't walk."
She lowered her hand to help me sit up.

"Tch, I'm surprised the brat didn't come to carry you herself, since she's so obsessed with you." Levi stated.

Sitting up, I noticed my boner went down, thankfully. It definitely would've been weird to ride in Sasha's arms with it still active..

"Well, she did tell me to be careful with him. She wouldn't be too pleased with me if I were to drop you." She said jokingly.

I rolled my eyes.

"Haha, you're hilarious."

I remained straight faced as I grabbed Sasha's hand to sit up.

"I wonder how long this is gonna take.."

"As soon as you learn to control your powers, we'll take action on Maria. I wanna get it done sooner too, but patience is a part of life." Levi added.

He was right, but it was hard for me to have patience over something as important as this.

Sasha huffed.

"Alright enough chit chat! Let's get back to Karanes for dinner. I could really go for some bread rolls right now!" She said excitedly.

"Uh, right.."

Sasha then picked me up and held me in one of her arms.

"You two go on ahead. I have to put this kit back inside." Levi said while closing the medical kit and walking back towards the cabin.

"Yes sir."

Sasha then blasted off into the air with me in her arms.

The only thing that lingered in my mind as the wind was hitting my face was what happened with the captain back there. The Captain Levi I know, would have probably beat my ass out of disgust after seeing my erection..I wondered what kept him from doing so..

It wasn't long before Sasha and I reached the horses where Mikasa, Jean, Armin, Hange, Historia, and Connie were all waiting for us.

"Sure took you guys long enough..where's the captain?" Jean asked while looking around.

"He should be right behind us. He had to put something back in the cabin before leaving."

Sasha still had me under her arm. It was embarrassing enough I felt like a weak little baby..

"You can put me down now."

"Can you walk?" She asked, looking down at me.

"I'm not sure..but I can try I guess."

Sasha then calmly stood me up on the ground. I felt well enough to walk, but my legs were still sore.

"You okay?" Connie asked, tilting his head.

"I'm fine, I'll walk it off." I frowned. I was bummed that the experiment didn't go as planned today and even more upset I had to literally be carried back to the horses like a weakling.

"Let's go-"
Once I took a step forward I felt my leg cramp, causing me to stumble and almost fall.
Luckily, a hand caught me right before I plummeted.

"Careful there." A familiar voice said behind me. The voice sent chills down my body as it always has. I turned around to see Captain Levi. He was looking down at me with his emotionless face, holding me in his arm that was wrapped around me.

"W-where did you-"

"Let's get back. Now."

"Yes sir!" Sasha exclaimed while hopping on her horse.

The rest followed, hopping on their horses. I noticed Armin freaking out discreetly, his smile going from ear to ear. I shook my head and looked down, smiling to myself slightly.

"Eren, You'll have to ride in the wagon." Levi told me, still holding me from falling.

All I wanted to do was lean back and kiss him..

"Oh..okay."

Out of nowhere, Levi picked me up bridal style, and casually laid me down in the wagon. He was REALLY acting different...and it was very unusual to me..

I just brushed it all off as an act of kindness..though he wasn't usually kind either.

"Th-thanks captain."

Mikasa was riding the horse that was pulling us on the wagon. I saw her out of the corner of my eye looking back at me, able to tell she was still concerned.

"Hyah!" Hange exclaimed, commanding her horse to go. The others followed and did the same, as she led the formation.
