The next few nights consisted of the same nightmare, Dean threatening to kill you. You knew that that was to be expected but you didn't expect them to be like this. So, to help with them, you would stay downstairs and when Dean asked if you were going to bed, you would say that he should go to bed and you will be up soon, which was a lie. You always kept yourself awake so you wouldn't have that nightmare, but you always fell asleep. It never did your relationship with Dean any good as it was decreasing slowly. You had tried talking it out together but it always ended up in a sort of argument, you being scared, Dean leaving the bunker pissed off and you questioning lots of things.

You kept questioning why Dean was still with you. You always presume that there is always some other woman who is far better than you, less broken, more willing to trust Dean but for some reason, he stuck with you. The one who IS broken, is having trouble trusting people and looks like she was dragged through a hedge backwards. You hated feeling like you were dragging Dean down, maybe it was time you did something about this?

You approached Dean and sat down across from him. "We need to talk" you mumbled, looking down at your hands.

"Okay?" Dean nodded and set his book down, off to the side.

"Since the incident, I've been having the same nightmare but changed slightly. It has always been the incident. That's why i have been avoiding going to bed. That's why I'm always so tired during the day. That's why I feel like you deserve better" You kept your gaze on the table but you could see Dean sit up slightly at the mention of deserving better.

"Y/n, why would you say such a thing?" Dean asked.

"Because it is true. What sort of relationship is this if i'm scared. I'm scared Dean! I love you with all my heart but i hate feeling like this. I hate putting you in this position where we don't even sleep together anymore, we are constantly fighting and non of this is good for either of us" You watched as Dean took your hand in his.

"Follow me" He smiled kindly and reassuringly. You nod and follow him. Once you enter your shared room with him, he closes the door and stands behind you, gently kissing your neck and letting his hands roam your sides. "Let me prove to you that I still care and that I'm willing to wait, no matter how long it takes" Dean says and you close your eyes, nodding. He kisses your neck again and lets his hands slide up your shirt.

~Time skip brought to you by Sam Winchester, who wished he had left the house today and not stayed, as he had to listen to you and Dean at it. (I will write a smut imagine if you wish)~

Afterwards, you laid in Dean's arms and he kissed your forehead "no matter how long it takes, I will always wait for you" You smiled contently and nodded.

And from that night on, you rarely had that nightmare. Even when you did, Dean was always there to make it better
