You had managed to get an outift sorted and get yourself looking presentable just as you heard Sam calling you.
"Y/n, Dean's here. I hope you're ready" He called, you could practically hear the smile on his face. When you had gone to tell Sam about Dean asking you to the dance, as you had guessed, he was the one that convinced Dean that he should ask you. Before hand he had told you that he didn't know that Dean liked you, it was only when Dean approached him in the library and started to ask him questions that he realised. Never the less he heard you out and listened to the tale you had to tell. He thought it was pretty cute.
You walked down the steps with ease. Since you were wearing a dress that went down to your feet, you decided to wear some converse with your outfit. They matched so you thought why not.
You walked into the room. Sam smiled and Dean's eyes seemed to widen in awe. Your cheeks tinted pink as you approached the brothers. Sam pulled you into a hug and whispered in your ear.
"You look beautiful. He's really nervous so go easy on the guy" You both pulled away and he winked at you as you approached Dean.
"Shall we go?" he asked. He looked more nervous than when he was asking you to the dance. You smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. Let's go" You turned and smiled at Sam before making your way out of your common room. Sam was talking to Dean about something really quickly so you decided it would be better to wait outside. Not two minutes later and Dean was dashing out of the common room.
"Oh" He smiled "I thought you would've walked ahead"
"And possibly be accused of being alone? hell no" you smiled as Dean chuckled.
"Fair point" Dean said as he held your hand and began to walk to the great hall. Your cheeks turned pink again as his hand came into contact with yours. On the way down, you both made small talk, you ignored all the death glares that the other girls were giving you. They wanted to be where you were but you weren't going to brag, you really had no idea why Dean chose you. You weren't one to boast, you were brought up by your parents to care for others in more ways than one.
When you both arrived at the great hall, Dean lead you to your designated seats and went to go get you a drink, even though you weren't overly bothered about having a drink. It wasn't long before some of the more bitchier girls showed up.
"well well well...if it isn't Y/n. How's the dance so far?" You knew where she was heading with this.
"good i suppose" You shrugged. You weren't going to give her what she needed. Fuel to make her angrier.
"Where's Dean? He left you already? I wouldn't be surprised. Nobody likes a nerd" She was really annoying and you knew she wasn't right. You looked over at Dean to see he was talking to someone he seemed to get along well with, probably a good friend of his.
"Well if you're going to treat education so badly then why are you here?" You asked. You knew you shouldn't've said that but you couldn't help it, she knew how to get on your nerves. She gasped in 'offense'.
"What gives you the right to talk to me like that?" She asked, fiery.
"What gives you the right to wear 10 pounds worth of make-up?" You wanted to sass that bitch into a black hole. Suddenly her hand came into contact with your face.
"Awe no! i've got slut on me. D-Do you think it's contagious?" You asked her. You were building yourself a bigger ditch to stand in but right now you couldn't care less.
"Okay that is it! You won't hear the end of this!" She stormed off. By that point, you had begun to think about what she could do. You were so deep in thought that you hadn't realised that Dean had returned.
"Sorry i was taking so long, i was talking to one of my friends" He looked at you and noticed that one of your cheeks was a pinky red colour. "Hey, what happened?" he asked.
"Lead slut came over and pissed me off so i majorly sassed her and she slapped me. No big deal" you shrugged it off like it was nothing because to you, it was.
"She did what?!" Dean looked around for her, he was annoyed.
"Dean it's fine. Really it is, i've had worse." He turned to you with simpathy in his eyes.
"You have?" he asked, to which you nodded.
"When I was 8, i was beaten at school for being a nerd. That continued for 3 years until i came here." He looked shocked while you just shrugged it off, it wasn't going to get you down. The past was the past, no changing it, no correcting it, just living with it and moving on.
"That's horrible" you shook your head in disagreement.
"People have it worse than me, besides, it's the past. It happened and i've moved on. And could we not talk about? I'm not really up for the whole back story thing, especially not tonight" Dean nodded.
"Sure. Let's have a good night. Or at least try since she hit you." You raised your hand to stop him from speaking.
"Good night not a complain night, Got it Winchester" you said with a smiled on your face.
"Yes Ma'am" he said which caused you to laugh. You were going to have a good night and not give a fuck.

The time came for the king and queen of the dance to be announced. Dean would most likely be the king but you didn't think you would be queen. It is unlikely, but you didn't really mind.
"This year's King is...Dean Winchester!" Everyone clapped as Dean made his way up to get his crown. You couldn't help but smile. Even if you didn't win the crown, Dean did and that made you happy.
"And finally, this year's Queen is..." They held it in suspense and you looked at Dean. He looked like he was hoping that you would win it, but you really didn't mind if you didn't win it. They called her name out and she looked so "surprised", she knew she was going to win it. My her i mean Lead Slut. She gave you a glare before making her way to the centre of the floor with Dean, since the king and queen have the first dance. Deep down it bothered you that she got to dance with Dean but you tried to hide it, She'd only use it against you later. So you sat down when Sam approached me.
"Hey" he smiled "You alright?" you nodded.
"Yeah, i'm just not really comfortable at the minute. You know how I am at social gatherings" You had to admit that you did have a bit of social anxiety. You didn't really want to stay there too much but you wanted to because of Dean. "I might go get some fresh air" you stood up and made your way outside, avoiding the glances that several people were giving you.
Once you made it outside, you sat down, took several deep breaths and began to think about things. You hadn't realise that someone had sat next to you. You looked over and saw Dean, you smiled.
"You should really be inside, dancing with your queen" you said.
"Nah, my queen is right here" he smirked as he looked at you. You blushed and lightly pushed him.
"Shush!" you said bringing your arm back but Dean grabbed hold of it and brought it closer to him. You moved closer and he pressed his lips to your own. You blush grew more as you kissed back. You both stayed like that for a couple of minutes until you needed to breathe so you pulled away. Dean had a smirk on his face when he saw your blush.
"Have you had a good night?" Dean asked and you nodded.
"Definitely" You smiled as you leaned in to kiss him again. Tonight turned out well after all.
