Today is twin day!!! Ever since Peter and I got reunited we've taken a day out of every month and had it just for ourselves.
It was kind of a cloudy day but it was fine. I got to spend it with my twin and that's all the mattered. We were having to meet up at a coffee shop because I had a few things to do first while he was finishing up patrol. I had peter text me what he wanted to drink I would order it and have it ready waiting outside to go.
When I got to the coffee shop I ordered out drinks and started to head out the door. As I step out and around the door I wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone and the coffees slipped out of my hands and fell to the ground. Luckily it didn't spill on anyone.
"Oh gosh I am so sorry I did not see where I was walking" I said picking up the cups.
As I stood up I was met with these gorgeous golden eyes. He had golden blood hair and that face structure had to be hand sculpted by the gods because damn.
"My apologies ma'am." He said letting his southern accent out. We kept staring into each others eyes when I heard someone clear their throat. I looked over to see a pixie haired girl next to him.
"Damn, sorry, I uhh kind of spaced out. Anyways sorry for bumping into you." I said.
She smiled at me saying "it's okay, no harm done."
Just then I heard peter yell my name. "Hey payton!" I look over and see peter coming my way.
"Hey everything okay?" He asked
"Yeah I was getting our coffees and not paying attention and ran into..sorry I didn't even ask what your names were."
"Oh hi, im Alice, and this is Jasper." Jasper kept looking at me curiously.
"I am Payton, and this is my twin Peter. Again I am so sorry for the everything. We gotta get going for our twin day but I hope you two have a great rest of your day and it was nice meeting you!" I say with a smile looking back at jasper one more time but getting dragged away by peter.
"You good?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, it's just I don't know, something about him when I looked into his eyes. It was like a connection was formed."
"Not to sound over the top romantic, but could he have been your soulmate?"
"I don't know. He only gave his first name not his whole name. But I am not worried about it. Today is twin day so lets go cause some trouble!" I say.
Peter ended up finding a mini golf place for us to try out. They had three different courses you could go through, go kart racing, inside was an arcade, it was literally a blast. We went through all three courses of mini golf. I won two games and peter won the last, but he kicked my ass in go kart racing. When the sun went down and it was getting cooler, we went inside and played several arcade games. This was by far the best twin day we've had.
"Okay we have to come here again. This place was freaking awesome." I told him jumping on his back.
"Agreed, we haven't had a good laugh like this since dad caught you leaving in one of his suits."
We went to get milkshakes before headed home and just enjoyed hanging out. "Do you still think about mom and dad like before the accident?" I asked randomly.
He looks up at me and nods his head "yeah I do sometimes but not as often anymore. I think I have come to terms with what happened and it may sound harsh but at least they didn't suffer. It was over quick. I miss them as usual, but then I wouldn't have had this life you know? An avenger, spider-main, tony taking us in and giving us something even better than we thought." He says.
"Yeah I get that. I guess sometimes I wonder if we still would've been kidnapped had mom and dad not have died. But I am thankful for the life I have now and being free from hydras control. These powers are pretty sick too. I was just curious. Sometimes I feel bad because I do not always think about them you know?" I say to him.
"Honestly, I think mom and dad would have wanted us to move on and not just sit around grieving over them." Peter says.
We finish up our milkshakes and headed back to the tower to continue our twin day in the movie theater room stuffing our faces with popcorn and junk while we binge watch movies or tv shows all night. As we were walking down the street I was on Peter's back. We looked around and headed down an ally and he slipped his mask on and handing me mine. He had decided to make our stay out a little longer and swing throughout the city before going back for movie night. It was a blast. The wind blowing in your face, sitting on top of building watching the night life, and swinging around.
Finally we got back to the tower. The team was sitting around in the lounge as we busted into the room laughing. Pepper had already made up the popcorn and snacks for us in the kitchen. As we walk in and grab everything, we both walk up to mom kiss her on the cheek and say "thanks Pepper" in unison and head to the movie theater room.
Of course his nerdy brain convinced me to watch star-wars, so that is what we are doing. We ended up making it three movies in before I passed out cuddled up next to peter. And that is how the team found us the next morning. Under blankets, surrounding by junk and pieces of popcorn.
