I start waking up and feel like I have been hit by a truck. My whole body hurts. I look around the room and see Ash laying next to my bed. Tony and bruce are talking about something. "Y'all gonna keep standing around or give me some drugs for this pain?" I ask. Both tony and bruce shot their heads around to see me awake with a smirk on my face.
"Well its good to see you awake and sassy as ever kid." Tony says.
"How long have I been out?" I asked.
"About 2 days. We've had to keep lover boy and spider out but ash here wouldn't stop growling until we let him near you. Once we did he laid right now next to you on the floor and hasn't moved since." Bruce says.
"Well that's sweet. Can you guys go get Jasper for me. And give us a minute please." I asked. They both nodded their heads and left. About 5 minutes go by and Jasper is coming through the door.
"What's got you so down cowboy?" I ask in a pouty voice. He looks rough. I mean I know he's dead but damn. He doesn't say anything and just keeps looking at me. "Jasper talk to me what's going on."
"Even though you don't age anymore can you still die?"
"I don't know. But I'm going to assume yes. When I was in hydra they would beat me on the verge of death but never killed me. So I really don't know."
"I could've lost you. Before I even got a chance to tell you how much you mean to me and how I feel about you." He says with his voice cracking.
"Jasper."
"Payton, I love you. I can't lose you. You've helped me not feel like a monster. You've helped with my blood lust. And you've shown me so much affection. Payton I can't lose you.." he says sitting on the bed holding my hand.
"Oh jasper, I love you. More than you know. You've helped me get through my nightmares, you've shown me love, and accepted me. My sweet cowboy, you won't lose me. I'm too stubborn to die." I say chuckling.
"Maybe so, but please just be careful okay?"
"Of course i will. Now come give me a kiss and some cuddles." I say with a smile. He comes over closer leaning down placing both hands on my cheeks pulling my face closer to him, placing his lips against mine for a long passionate kiss. We ended up having a small make out session before he climbed up in the bed with me pulling into his chest and wrapping his arms around me protectively.
"You gonna tell me why you brought a wolf dog home?" He asked.
"He was an experiment. His pack was all dead so he chose to follow me, but after I took a bullet for him, he wanted to stay with me. So now he is my companion."
The team had to go back so they came in and checked on me before they left. I was still pissed at nat for causing me to get shot. Everyone else was glad I was okay.
After they left, the pack came in and checked on me. Sam was the first to come in and he did not look happy. "I told you to be careful or emily and I would be upset with you." He said in a firm manner. I couldn't help but be upset. Sam was like my father and I disappointed him.
"Im sorry. I was just doing my mission. I didn't think my own team mate would shot, and then the agents got in a couple shots. Im sorry." I said with tears forming in my eyes. He let out a sigh and came over to me and got in the bed with me pulling me into him. He had a protective hold on me and I let some tears fall.
"Im sorry I let you down."
"Oh sweet heart you didn't. Emily and I just cant lose you sweetheart." He says kissing my head.
After visiting with the pack, peter came in. "Hey snow"
"Hey spider"
"Feeling okay now?"
"Yeah a little bit. Im sorry if I scared you too."
"Hey you were doing your mission. I didn't think any of those events would happen today. Im just glad you're alive."
"Yeah me too. Can I ask you something?" He gives me a nod. "How would you feel if I told you I was starting to see emily snd sam as a mom and dad?"
"I would tell you im glad you feel that way because I do too. They are always taking care of us. So I completely see where you are coming from, I really do."
"Well that is good. I couldn't help feel like I disappointed sam. He told me to be careful and I got shot multiple times. It just felt like disappointing a father. And when he comforted me I couldn't help but feel like a little girl in a fathers arms. I don't remember much of our dad and him comforting me. They were always busy you know?"
"Yeah I get it trust me I do."
"Also, not to change the subject, but jasper told me he loved me today."
"Did he now? How did you respond?"
"I told him I loved him too. And I really do. Im falling so in love with him. The way he looks at me, comforts me, makes me feel. I just cannot get enough of him."
"I hope to find my soulmate soon"
"You will peter I promise. Does anyone else know about you being bi?" I asked softly.
"Sam and emily do. Other than you, they were the first I came out to."
"How did they take it?"
"They felt honored that I trusted them enough to tell them. And they didn't judge me. They accepted me with open arms."
"Good im glad."
"Well hey you need to rest up. I will be taking you back to our house tomorrow. So get some sleep its been a long day for you. I love you snow."
"I love you spider."
Jasper soon came in and crawled up in bed with me holding my tight. "I love you darlin"
