Chapter 21: first day of school

A'mari pov

I woke up to the alarm on my phone going off. I got up and went in the bathroom brushing my teeth and washing my face.

Jazz. A'mari

I dried my face before walking out the bathroom. She walked back out my room. I got my cloths going back in the bathroom getting dressed then I put my hair in 2 puffs and I put my shoes on

My outfit and hair

I put my bookbag on and put my phone in my pocket going downstairs. I saw kentrell, Montana, Ben and kam is here. Kentrell looked at me. So I turned back around going back in my room. I sometimes forget I can't leave me room without his permission.

I sat on the bed looking down at my lap. My door open I looked up seeing jazz

Jazz. Come on I made you breakfast.

I got up leaving back out the room. He can't be mad at me for his girlfriend telling me to leave my room. We went in the dinning room. She made me cinnamon bun waffles, bacon and fruit. I sat down eating. She came back in here with make up. She put I guess foundation on my neck. I still have a red ring around my neck from when kentrell chocked me. I haven't said a word every since.

And I'm a lot more flinchye. Like if he seat next to me I flinch, if he stands in front of me I flinch. I'm scard that he's gonna kill me or hurt me again. I finished my food and drink my juice watching jazz make my lunch. After she finished packing my lunch kentrell came in here

Kentrell. Come on

I got up getting my lunchbox. We got in the car. And we drove to my school. Montana parked and we got out.

Kentrell. Remember what I said

I nodded and I went into the school. I wish my dad was here to walk me to class. I went straight to my homeroom class. Other students are in here. I sat where my name Is. After putting my bookbag and lunchbox under my desk.

Jr. Hey A'mari

I waved. He sat down next to me. After 5 minutes the bell rung.

Ms Wilson. Hey I'm ms Wilson and I'm your homeroom teacher.

We nodded

Ms Wilson. Imma go around the room and stand up say your name, age, birthday and favorite color

We nodded again and she started with the front row.

When she got to me

Me. My name is A'mari, I'm 10, my birthday is September 2nd and my favorite color is purple.

I sat back down

Jr. My name is Hilary jr, I'm 11 years old, my birthday is January 23rd and my favorite color is blue

He sat down and everyone else went. Then she passed out are behavior planters

Ms Wilson. This journal isn't important but it's mandatory because the principal said so

We nodded putting it in are book bags.

Ms Wilson. Every other day y'all have my class. When y'all come in, y'all get y'all warm up and do that in-till the timer on my bord go's off. Then I'll come and get it off your desk.

She wrote the date on the bord.

Ms Wilson. And this is the homework bin

She showed us some stuff that we're going to be working on then the bell rung and we went to are 2nd class.

Lunchtime

Me and jr are seating at the lunch table. I opened my lunch box seeing fruit, grill Cheese, pretzels and a cup with juice in it.

Jr. You ok?

I nodded

Jr. You look sad

I shrugged eating my fruit. Then eating some of my grill cheeses. Once lunch was over we went to are next class.

After school

We went to the car loading zone. Jr hugged me going to Starr car leaving. Right after kentrell and Montana came and got me. I got in the car putting my seatbelt on. I stared out The window the whole ride to the house.

I went to my room took my bookbag off and I took a shower washing my hair. after getting dressed I blew dryed it and laid down. My granny called me.

Granny. Hey baby how was school

Me. Good

Granny. Did you make any friends?

I shook my head

Granny. Granny love you

Me. I love you to

She hung up. I miss my mommy and  daddy. I buried my face in the pillow and i cried.

Jazz. How was your day?

I flinched a little but I didn't lift my head up

Jazz. A'mari?

I felt her seat next to me. She lift my head up

Jazz. What's wrong?

I hurried and put my face back into my pillow. I felt her get up. I started dozing off to sleep.
