Abby found herself in the city. She was walking when some teachers of the law saw her. "You," one said to her, "you're not from here, are you?" They asked her. She knew from school that the people in that time did not think well of non-Jewish people or women. Abby gathered herself. "No, I am not," she replied. "It looks like we have a troublemaker." She took a step back, a little afraid. The others turned to her. "A person who is not from here is obviously trouble," they grabbed her and took her outside the city where they threw stones at her. She covered her head with her arms to protect herself from getting hit on the head. Abby managed to get up and run away from them.

After twenty minutes, she came to a crowd of people. In the middle of the crowd was a man who appeared blind. Abby stopped as she saw who was in front of the man. She was looking at Jesus. She was stunned, like her entire body could not move, but her mind was running a million miles an hour as he healed the man of his blindness. Abby shook her head as she realized her name was being called. Looking right at Jesus, he said, "Abby, follow me." Gaining her composure, she followed Jesus and his disciples.

Later, they had found a place to camp for the night. After helping with dinner and getting the fire going for the night, they all settled down. In the middle of the night, she woke up to a blanket being put over her.She realized that it was Jesus who had gave it to her.

Looking at her he said "It gets cold out here even with the fire and I did not want you to get sick" Abby was at a loss for words all her life she had read stories about Jesus and the events in the bible that happened and here she was living these events and that was hard to understand on its own. "You will understand in time" Jesus replied hearing her thoughts just as if she were talking out loud. "I will thank you for the blanket" she stammered trying to keep calm but the excitement was as evident as a child on Christmas morning.

"You're welcome" Jesus smiled at her as she laid down to get some sleep for the night. Her mind wondered at all the things she would witness while she was here but what she had yet to realize was that it would also test her in many ways.
