"Are you sure we have everything?" Skeppy said, sitting on his suitcase so it would zip up better. They were going to visit his family for a week. Bad nodded.
"I think so." He answered.
"Okay good." Said Skeppy. Skeppy started dragging his suitcase to the car, Bad following behind him. They packed up the car and decided Bad would drive first, so Skeppy got in the passenger seat and Bad got in the drivers seat.
"Ready to go?" Asked Bad.
"Yeah. And you double triple checked we have everything?" Said Skeppy, sure they were forgetting something. Bad rolled his eyes.
"Yes, 'geppy. I double triple checked. We definitely have everything." Said Bad, backing out of the driveway.
"Okay..." Said Skeppy, putting in his earbuds and turning on a movie on his phone. A few minutes later, Bad yells.
"WHAT?!" Asked Skeppy, panicked.
"WE DID FORGET SOMETHING!" Yelled Bad.
"WHAT?!" Said Skeppy, yelling because Bad was yelling.
"WE FORGOT RAT!" Said Bad, turning the car around. Skeppy tried not to laugh.
"Told y-" He started.
"Save it, you muffinhead..." Said Bad. Skeppy sighed, rolled his eyes, and went back to his movie. Bad went inside and got Rat's cage and came back to the car. Before he put Rat in the car, he let her out on a leash to do her business before they left.
"Oh, that reminds me..." Said Skeppy, unbuckling his seatbelt and going inside to use the bathroom himself.
Skeppy came back and saw Rat in her cage in the car (bad had given her some water in a dish and some food in another so she wouldn't get hungry or thirsty) and Bad at the steering wheel.
"Okay, NOW are we ready?" Asked Bad. Skeppy nodded.
"Yes." He said, putting in his earbuds and starting his movie again. Rat stared barking when the car pulled out of the driveway. She had never ridden in a car for long, just trips to and from the vet and occasionally the dog park. Bad sighed and Skeppy turned his movie up to block out Rat's barking. It was going to be a LOOONG car ride, Bad realized.
After a few hours, they stopped for lunch at a pet-friendly fast food place. Bad let Rat out to do her business again and went inside, holding Rat in his arms so she wouldn't wreck the place. They ordered and ate (bad got an extra burger patty for Rat) then the boys used the bathroom, and they got back in the car.
"Skeppy can you put on some music?" Bad asked for awhile, tired of Rat's barking. Skeppy paused his movie and took out his earbuds.
"Sure. What kind?" Asked Skeppy, pulling up Spotify.
"Uhhhh... Muffin?" Suggested Bad. Skeppy playfully rolled his eyes and put the song on. They sang along to their parts of the song and laughed. They listened to more music and by then it was dinnertime. They found another pet-friendly fast food place, ate, used the bathrooms, and got back to the car.
"Do you want me to drive?" Offered Skeppy, seeing Bad yawn.
"No, we'll probably try and find a hotel..." Bad said. Skeppy nodded.
"Hey, Google?" Asked Skeppy. His phone binged. "Hotels near me." He said. His phone binged again. They chose a hotel not too far from them. It was pet-friendly, so Rat could go in. That was a must. They weren't leaving Rat in a car overnight. They arrived at the hotel and grabbed their things, checked in and found their room.
Bad immediately flopped on his bed, tired. Skeppy giggled.
"Do you want me to take care of Rat while you sleep?" Offered Skeppy. Skeppy assumed a tired groan from Bad was supposed to be a yes and fed Rat and gave her water. He got into his own bed as Rat curled up on Bad's feet. Skeppy realized he and Bad were both so tired they still had their clothes on. 'Whatever' he thought as he turned the lights out and went to sleep.
