((This IS fluff, I promise lol also sorry school started up so my motivation just went like in the toilet as did my time to write. BUT DONT WORRY I WILL STILL WRITE))
Velvet and Ant had just had an argument. Nothing major, just who should cook dinner that day. Velvet said he wanted to cook since he always did anyway and didn't mind cooking, and Ant said it was his turn since Velvet was always taking care of him and that Velvet needed a break.
"Just let me take care of you!" Argues Velvet.
"No, you need to take care of yourself and rest sometimes! Let ME take care of YOU!" Retaliated Ant.
Eventually, they decided that Ant would cook dinner, and Velvet would cook the next day. Ant set to work on making dinner, still pretty angry that his lover was doing too much and refused to take a well-deserved break. Velvet flopped down on the couch with an annoyed huff. Ant came upstairs and handed a plate of food to Velvet and sat down with his and started eating. An unusual silence fell between the two. Halfway through eating, Ant started to cry. Velvet almost dropped his plate in surprise. He quickly set his plate aside and wrapped his arms around Ant in a comforting way.
"Wh-hey what's wrong...?" Red asked, worried.
"I just, I don't want you to be mad at me... I'm sorry..." Ant said through sobs.
"Don't apologize, baby... I'm not exactly MAD at you, I just wanted to take care of you... and doing things for you, taking care of you... thats how I show you I love you..." Velvet said, holding Ant still. Ant sniffed, calming down.
"O-okay..." He said, giving Velvet a small smile. Velvet smiled back and booped him on the nose.
"Boop!" He said, making Ant laugh a little. Velvet smiled.
"Let's finish eating and then go cuddle, okay?" Velvet said.
"Sounds like a plan..." Said Ant.
