Naruto chronicles

Prologue

On the streets of Konoha, a certain 6-year-old boy was walking towards his apartment. It was raining heavily, and it was time for him to sleep. Thus, he was on his way, when he felt a Kunai slash his cheeks.

Now, he was six, but due to his life, he had developed very fast reflexes, and as soon as he felt that, he took off as fast as he could.

'NOT TODAY! NONONONO!' he thought as he ran in the opposite direction from where the Kunai had come, as two people chased him.

"HEY! WAIT DEMON! YOU NEED TO PAY!" yelled one of them as they tried to attack him again, only for Naruto to dodge them. However, Naruto proved too fast even for Chunin, as he almost escaped them.

He would have lost them had he not tripped on a branch.

"NOW YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY!" yelled the second Chunin with a sickly grin as Naruto's eyes widened.

As the Chunin was nearing him with a Kunai, a civilian noticed them.

"What is happening here?" he asked as he walked towards them and Naruto looked at him fearfully.

'NO! He's going to join them! This village hates me! No, please no...' Naruto thought as he backed away scared.

'Wait, it's that boy!'

"Ah, nothing, we were teaching the demon brat a lesson," said the first Chunin with a smug grin.

"Oh..."

---Flashback---

It was an hour after the attack on Konoha by the Kyubi, and the Third was giving a speech.

"The fourth Hokage sacrificed his life to protect us, the people of our village. He died sealing the Kyubi in a newborn kid. His wish was to treat this kid like a hero. This is now an S-Rank secret and the children cannot know about this. Anyone who will speak of this in front of the children will be immediately executed. Show that boy some respect, he is the one keeping us safe," was what the Third said.

Sadly, mostly everyone ignored that and Naruto was an outcast to them. A few, however, remembered his words.

'No...'

"You have three seconds to get away," said the Civilian as he stood defensively in front of Naruto, whose eyes widened.

"WHAT! YOU'RE GOING TO DEFEND THAT!" yelled the second Shinobi as he walked towards them angrily.

"Run," said the Civilian to Naruto as Naruto looked at him wide-eyed.

"What?"

"Run, I am not a ninja but I went to the Shinobi school. Trust me and run," the civilian told him as Naruto's eyes teared up.

"T-thank you..." he muttered as he ran away.

"YOU BASTARD!" yelled the second Shinobi as he tried to go after Naruto, only to be kicked by the Civilian.

"You're all new chunin, inexperienced and weak," he said as both glared at him.

"Oh we're going to kill you alright," the first Chunin said as he started to walk forward.

"Oh, what do we have here?" came a voice, as the next moment an Anbu dropped from somewhere.

"Huh?"

"Who are you?"

"I am Inu, Anbu Captain. And I just saw you attacking a civilian. You better explain it. Right. Now."

Naruto hadn't stopped for a moment as he continued running till he reached the outskirts of Konoha.

'Why did he save me?' thought Naruto, as he remembered what Hiruzen, or as he called him, Jiji, had told him.

"Naruto, everyone doesn't hate you. You're just different. And people don't accept differences easily. However, I believe that there are people who care for you in this village. And I am sure you can change other people, I believe in you."

'You are right Jiji. Ramen Jiji, Ayame onee-chan, you, Inu, Shikamaru, Choji, and that person, you all care for me. AND I WILL CHANGE OTHERS! I WILL MAKE THEM RECOGNIZE ME! I WILL... I WILL BECOME HOKAGE! THEN EVERYONE WILL ACCEPT ME!' Naruto thought, as unknown to him, his Chakra activated for the first time.

As Naruto was thinking this, he came to a stop net to a tree. However, it was no normal tree. It was an Apple tree, which wasn't seen around Konoha. It was the biggest tree in the area, quite unusual for an Apple tree. It was no ordinary apple tree either, it was the one brought along with one of the strongest clans, the one with hair as bright and red as the apples the tree produced.

The Uzumaki clan.

Naruto, by now tired and drenched, leaned against the tree for its shade and fell asleep. However, his contact with the tree had activated a particular seal that would change his life forever.
