Chapter 4

Naruto was eight years old, and was sitting in his room. More like, his clone was. The real Naruto was in the compound, looking through Intermediate fuinjutsu-genjutsu techniques.

"Wow, never knew this can be used to mess with an opponent's chakra. What's good is that, unlike Nin-genjutsu, Fuin-genjutsu takes a lot more to break," muttered Naruto as he made notes in a separate notebook. While he was doing this, three more clones were doing his school work and five were going through Chakra manipulation and conversion techniques.

"I need to get the theory down to be able to do things perfectly. So... first theory, then basics and finally learning the jutsus. I also need to develop a Taijutsu style, the academy one doesn't suit me," muttered Naruto as he looked through 'THE BASICS OF TAIJUTSU: Stances and Stamina!' book, by someone named Might Guy.

Naruto looked through the book and found that he couldn't do it without an instructor who would be skilled enough to tell even the most minor errors in his stance.

"I need to go to Jiji," said Naruto as he got out of the house.

He was on his way to Hokage's office when he saw a feminine figure next to a lake.

'Huh? Wait... is that HINATA!' he thought as he jumped next to her.

He saw that she was sobbing and hugging her knees, and to be honest Naruto felt his heart break into a million pieces.

"Hinata chan..." he muttered as she turned to him and frantically wiped her tears.

"N-Naruto k-kun!" she stuttered as she tried to smile, but Naruto put his finger on her lips.

"Hinata chan, you will tell me who or what made you cry right now," said Naruto in a stern yet caring tone as Hinata frowned and tears started to form again.

"N-no, it's alright Naruto k-kun," she replied choking on her tears as Naruto cupped her cheeks.

"No excuses. Now tell me," he said looking straight into her eyes, making her feel faint.

"I-I was bullied in school... t-they said my e-eyes were ugly. A-and my c-clan t-thinks I am weak," said Hinata sobbing as Naruto hugged her.

"Well, your clan thinks wrong. I know you're strong Hinata, you just need to figure out your strength. And ignore those stupid bullies, I've never seen eyes prettier than yours," said Naruto as Hinata's eyes widened.

"Y-you mean it!" asked Hinata blushing brightly.

"I wouldn't say if I didn't mean it. Your eyes are pretty, your smile is pretty, your hair is pretty, you yourself are very pretty Hinata," said Naruto with a foxy grin causing Hinata to faint.

'SHE IS SO CUTE! I WANT TO JUST CUDDLE HER FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!' thought Naruto as he looked at her.

"Hinata chan, wakey wakey," he said shaking her as she stirred awake.

"N-Naruto kun... she muttered, dazed as Naruto nodded.

"I love you." AND she fainted. Again. But this time, Naruto was blushing hard.

'WHAT THE HELL!'

He once again shook her awake, and she looked at him blushing brightly but confused.

"Hinata chan, do you remember saying something to me?" asked Naruto as she shook her head as a no, confused.

"oh, a-anyways, I need to g-go," said Naruto as he got up and ran towards the Hokage tower, leaving a confused but content Hinata behind.

'She'll be the death of me. And I won't even mind.'

Finally, Naruto was at the Hokage tower as he once again entered through the window.

"Sup Jiji," said Naruto as Hiruzen quickly put a book in his desk drawer and looked at him.

'Icha Icha? I saw a copy in Dad's study, gotta check it out later,' thought Naruto as Hiruzen greeted him and asked what he was there for.

"Ah, Jiji, so I've been training and I wanted to ask whether I could get someone to help me with my Taijutsu," said Naruto as Hiruzen looked at him, confused.

"What do you mean Naruto kun? You learn basic Taijutsu in school, right?" asked Hiruzen as Naruto grinned sheepishly.

"Well, you see I am not really made for that Taijutsu. No matter how hard I try, ultimately I have to fight against my own reflexes to do that. And I was reading Basics of Taijutsu and it said that you need a personal style if you have too many problems with the standard academy one. So I was hoping I could get someone to help with my stances and other stuff," Naruto said and Hiruzen nodded.

"Alright Naruto, go home and sleep, I'll see what I can do about that," he said as he summoned an Anbu and Naruto nodded jumping out of the window.

The next day, Naruto was sitting in his class next to Sasuke, who had actually become kind of friends with Naruto.

"So... have you done the study?" asked Sasuke as Naruto looked at him confused.

"What study?" he asked back as Sasuke deadpanned.

"There is a Ninja History test today," said Sasuke as Naruto's face paled.

"W-wait... no way," said Naruto as Sasuke suppressed a chuckle.

"I could show you some answers, or you could just use your notes to pass. Though I'm pretty sure you want to maintain your dead-last cover," said Sasuke as Naruto looked at him, concerned and confused.

"How did you know?" asked Naruto as Sasuke sighed.

"The answer you gave two years ago, coupled with your status which I found out after visiting the library and searching up Jinchuriki, adding the hate you get and the times I've seen people directly sabotaging your stuff, I figured. It's alright, I get it," said Sasuke. 

In the last two years, he and Naruto had grown close. So close that he had even come out of his revenge-obsessed phase. Now he was still yearning to find Itachi, but not to kill him. He wanted to ask why he did that, since he knew Itachi. For Itachi, nothing came above the village. Not even his own life.

'A few days before that, Shisui Nii went missing. Is there any connection?' thought Sasuke as Naruto gaped at him like a fish.

"Close your mouth Dobe, you look stupid. And just so you know, unlike the villagers, believe that you're not the Kyubi. Wait, what's there to believe, it's a fact," said Sasuke as Naruto's eyes moistened.

"T-thanks Sasuke. And I know at least a few other villagers don't believe that," said Naruto as he smiled and Sasuke looked at him confused.

"Really? I never saw anyone treat you normally. For me, it's like I'm some fucking prince, and for you... leave it," said Sasuke holding himself from saying something insensitive.

"It's alright. And you know, there are people like Ramen Ji-chan, Hokage Jiji, Iruka sensei, and then a few years ago a civilian saved me from two chunin. Also, a couple of Anbu protect me too," said Naruto as Sasuke nodded.

"We're not alone Sasuke, neither of us," Naruto said as he put his hand on Sasuke's shoulder, and a ghost of a smile appeared on Sasuke's face.

'I don't think like that either Naruto kun. I know what you are, and you're definitely not Kyubi.'
