Chapter 2

It was the middle of a class and he was thinking about what he would learn that day.

'I've done the tree walking, though it was EXTREMELY difficult. Then I also learned the basics of Kanji. Also, the basic history is done, I think at least. Wait... there was this special jutsu dad mentioned to me to be careful about. What was it? The shadow clone? How do I measure my Chakra? How do I-'

"NARUTO!" yelled Iruka as Naruto snapped out of his dreams. Now since he started training, he had become much more alert and his senses were a lot sharper, so he was writing down whatever Iruka was saying subconsciously. He could also hear the cute giggles of Hinata, the Hyuga girl sitting at the last bench.

He looked at his notebook to find that he had repeated his name seven times and sweatdropped.

"Yes, sensei?" asked Naruto as he stood up.

"Why weren't you paying attention?" asked Iruka.

"Ah, sorry sensei, I was just thinking something. Plus I wrote down whatever you said," said Naruto showing him his notebook as Iruka looked at him impressed.

"Well... I guess you are right, but you still need to pay attention. Now, I'll ask you a question and if you don't answer it you'll get detention. But if you do, I'll get you Ichiraku's Ramen coupon. Is it a fair deal?" asked Iruka with a raised eyebrow.

"YES!" yelled Naruto excitedly. Now Iruka was going to ask him something which was not in their syllabus till the fourth year in Academy, and Naruto was just in his second. However, he planned to give him the coupon even if he couldn't answer.

"Who are the four Hokages of Konoha, how long did they hold the position, and mention one specialty about them. Now don't get disheartened if you can't answer it, since it's not in your syllabus and it's a four-marker in the fourth year. Go ahead," said Iruka as Naruto smiled triumphantly.

'Hah, jokes on you sensei, I want to become a Hokage so I need to know my predecessors.'

"The first Hokage, Co-founder of the Hidden Leaf was Hashirama Senju. He was extremely powerful in many things like Sage mode but the thing that made him the 'God of Shinobi' was Wood Release. His tenure lasted a little over 7 years.

The second Hokage was Tobirama Senju, and he made many jutsus like the Shadow Clone, and the Hiraishin. But what sets him apart is the fact that he could create water from his Chakra, a feat no one, even the Water Users from Kiri could do. His term lasted for 16 years.

The third Hokage is Hiruzen Sarutobi, and while Jiji is an expert in many things like Monkey summoning, the distinguishing factor is that he knows ALL the Jutsus in Konoha which don't require a special Kekkei Genkai. And for the information of others, Kekkei Genkai is a bloodline limit, or a power that can be passed through blood. For example Shikamaru's shadow, Sasuke's Sharingan, and Hinata's Byakugan. His first term lasted for a little over 30 years, and then after the fourth died he took back the office and is still currently holding the position of Hokage," said Naruto as Ino pouted.

"HEY! I also have  Kekkei Genkai!" said Ino as Naruto looked at her apologetically.

"Sorry Ino, but that isn't a Kekkei Genkai, it's Kekkei Tota, a bloodline Elimination. It's a jutsu or Nature release which is passed via bloodline," explained Naruto as others looked at him wide-eyed.

"Anyways, The fourth," said Naruto with fondness in his eyes.

"He went by the name Minato Namikaze, who was Hokage for only 3 years. He saved the village and sacrificed his own life for it. Hailed as the fastest Shinobi, he was famous for many things like his exceptional mastery of the sealing arts, known as Fuinjutsu, but what made him arguably the strongest was the Hiraishin, or the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. Made by lord Second, lord Fourth mastered and refined it to an extent unknown to us. He is the greatest of them all," said Naruto as he looked at Iruka expectantly.

Iruka was just shell-shocked. Until a few months ago Naruto was absent in his class, but now he knew stuff not even in the syllabus! Hell, he just asked him for one, but Naruto told him two specialties each!

"Heh, that was great Naruto. You can sit down, and I'll get you the coupons tomorrow," said Iruka with a proud smile.

"*Psst* Naruto!" whispered Ino as Naruto looked towards her.

"Can you tell me more about this stuff later?" she asked and Naruto nodded happily.

As for Sakura, she looked at him with a pout.

'He's just an idiot, how did he know all that?'

'What a drag.'

It was time to train more.

Naruto was currently standing in front of a crystal.

'How is this so big? And how am I supposed to take a piece of it?' asked Naruto to himself as he touched the crystal.

The chakra color is supposed to be blue for all individuals. However, when touching a Chakra crystal, the color of the crystal changes as per the amount of Chakra in a person. Since we can't measure Chakra, we have devised a system of points that can be matched down below. The points don't have any limits and the amount of Chakra in a person can also grow. This is an elementary method, and this does not tell the quality of the chakra. However, both the Quality and Quantity of Chakra change with training, so Shinobi should not be disheartened with their result.

(Note- I have Chakra crystal in the study. It can be easily broken and tested.)

This was an excerpt from the book along with the notes of Naruto's father that he found in the study.

As soon as he touched the crystal, a piece of it broke and fell down and Naruto picked it up.

'Alright, I hope it's enough, I need at least Chunin level to make even 2 Shadow clones, at least that's what it said,' thought Naruto as the stone turned orange.

"Alright, matching with the Vibgyor spectrum, it's around... 4000! WAIT THAT'S HIGH CHUNIN LEVEL CHAKRA! HOW THE HELL DO I HAVE SO MUCH CHAKRA!" yelped Naruto as he quickly took another piece which gave the same result.

'HOLY SHIT!'

"One way to test it," muttered Naruto as he looked at the Shadow Clone scroll.

'SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!'

Naruto used as much chakra as he could without harming himself, and the next moment there were over 30 Naruto in front of him.

"WHAT! THIS WORKS!" yelled all of them together as they looked at each other.

"One benefit of Shadow clone is that I'll get the memory of each and every clone of mine. Alright... LET'S GET TO IT!" yelled Naruto excitedly as the others jumped, sharing his enthusiasm.
