Chapter 8

Naruto and others were currently standing as Sasuke groaned.

"Where is he? And why are you eating Naruto?" asked Sasuke as Sakura nodded.

"Kakashi sensei told us not to eat idiot!" said Sakura as Naruto looked at both of them as if they were stupid. Which they kinda were.

"He didn't tell us, he suggested. And I don't know about you both, but I do know that the three most important things in survival training are water, food, and shelter. I need to have energy. And finally, he's Kakashi of Sharingan, he's famous for being EXTREMELY late, like two-three hours to everything. I am pretty sure he'll take another hour to get here. Now if you both want to stay hungry and feeling stupid then fine, but if you both want something to eat, here," said Naruto as he pushed some chakra into a scroll, causing a bento to pop out.

"Tch. Know it all..." muttered as he took the top layer, opening it to find it filled with tomatoes.

"... I take every insult I ever said to you back," said Sasuke with his mouth slightly watering as Sakura picked her own box.

"... This does look good..." muttered Sakura as she looked at Naruto impressed.

"Thanks, took a bunch of clones to prepare," said Naruto as Sasuke nodded.

An hour later, Sasuke and Naruto were playing Shogi as Sakura watched the intense match with rapt attention.

'This is so close...' she thought, forgetting to cheer for Sasuke.

"So... what's happening here?" asked Kakashi as the trio looked at him.

"Hello sensei, we'd appreciate it if you could wait for a few moments," said Naruto before they all returned to the game, causing Kakashi to sweatdrop.

"Well, I wish I could, but we're on a bit of a schedule," said Kakashi causing the team to deadpan.

"Funny thing, because you said that training started at 5," said Sakura snarkily.

"Anyways, so I am going to test you guys, it's going to determine whether you'll become ninjas or not," said Kakashi as Naruto and Sasuke stopped their match and looked at Kakashi.

"What do you mean sensei?" asked Naruto.

"Yeah, we become ninjas by graduating from the academy right?" asked Sakura as Sasuke nodded.

"Not quite. It's a test to weed out the weak. However, there is another test to check your abilities as a genin. Out of those who graduate, most of the time only 9 people pass," said Kakashi as they looked at him with undivided attention.

"so, your test is simple. Before 12, which is in 4 hours, you have to take these bells from me," said Kakashi as the three looked at the bells.

"But there are only... two."

"Exactly. The one who fails won't get lunch today. The test starts in three, two, and... one," said Kakashi as the three scattered. Or more like two.

Naruto was standing in front of him, with a cocky smile as Kakashi sweatdropped.

"Aren't you going to hide Naruto?" asked Kakashi as Naruto chuckled.

"Nah, I'll just beat you to the ground," said Naruto in a challenging tone as Kakashi raised his eyebrow.

"Are you going to do that alone?"

"Mhm... not exactly. MULTI SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!" he yelled as a bunch of shadow clones materialized around him, shocking Kakashi.

'THAT'S A LOT! But that won't do much,' he thought as a few Shadow clones rushed towards him.

"Lesson one Tai- WHAT THE FUCK!!" yelled Kakashi as the Narutos moved at a speed he never expected them to.

Kakashi was trying to fight them off, destroying a few but Naruto was clever enough to grab him from behind.

"KATSU!" yelled Naruto as Kakashi's eyes widened and the clones exploded.

"Exploding shadow clones!" yelled Kakashi as he came out from where he had substituted.

"Nah, that would have killed you, and it's also pretty difficult to master. I used that idea to make a Shadow clone with explosion seals on it, making them walking talking exploding tags," said Naruto as Kakashi gulped.

'He's a fucking monster! Not in that way of course, just too strong! AND HE'S A FREAKING TACTITIAN!'

"Now, bye-bye sensei," said the 'Real' Naruto as he too burst into smoke.

"So he was a clone, and was never here," Kakashi muttered as he searched for others, only to find Sakura.

"You got that Sasuke?" asked the real Naruto as Sasuke nodded.

"Yes, a basic understanding of his fighting, I think I can fare better against him now," said Sasuke as he deactivated his Three Tomoe Sharingan.

"That's great! We just need a little bit. Now let's go save Sakura before Kakashi can do some major damage," said Naruto as Sasuke nodded.

"I don't understand why we need her though," he said with a pout as Naruto deadpanned.

"I don't leave my comrades behind, no matter what," he said as he jumped onto a tree.

"... He's too nice for his own good," Sasuke muttered going behind him.

Sakura was looking for Kakashi, when she felt someone step behind her.

"Hello," said Kakashi as he finger saluted, causing her to get extremely scared.

'SHIT!' she thought as she took out her Kunai and threw it at him.

"That won't work," said Kakashi as Sakura tried to reverse kick him, only for him to grab her foot and throw her away.

"Now lesson two, Gen- WHY DOESN'T ANYONE LET ME FREAKING FINISH MY SENTENCE!" he yelled as he jumped back dodging a giant fireball aimed at him.

The next moment, Naruto was next to Sakura, and he picked her up, jumping away.

"W-what! NARUTO PUT ME DOWN!" yelled Sakura as Naruto sighed.

"Just a moment," he said as he saw Sasuke a little away.

"Now," he said as he dropped next to him and put Sakura down.

"WHAT WAS THAT!" yelled Sakura with a bright blush as Naruto groaned.

"I just saved you from Kakashi sensei's genjutsu. You could at least yell a little less," said Naruto looking at her as she shut up.

"R-right... sorry. So why are we here?" she asked as Naruto looked at them both.

"We can't take him down alone, we need to work together," said Naruto as Sasuke looked at him.

"But only two of us can pass," said Sakura with a confused look.

"Listen, there is no three-man team in the village. The real aim of the test is to work as a team, at least I think so. And even if it isn't, we don't have any chance to pass alone. So... we first need to get the bells," said Naruto as the others nodded in understanding.

"So... I believe you've got a plan?" asked Sasuke as Naruto smiled.
