Short but Informative Biography

Hermione Granger was first introduced to us as a stuck-up, bossy, goody-two shoes know-it-all back in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Her and Harry/Ron didn't consider each other anything more than classmates that go to school together. Now, she is a role model for several girls and one of the saviours of the Wizarding World. When the mountain troll attacked her in the girls' lavatory, Ron and Harry came to save her, and the three created an inseparable friendship that lasted to adulthood and on. She was the brains of their trio, helping them out of plenty of sticky situations. Her bravery awarded her a place in the Gryffindor house, therefore she helped win the House Cup in her first year. Hermione went through her years at Hogwarts all differently. Her first year, she was attacked by the mountain troll, (as previously mentioned) her second, she was petrified by the Basilisk, (but helped Ron and Harry out with the piece of parchment she found in the library) her third, she had to kept a skeleton in the closet: she had a time turner and that's how she was getting to all her classes and how she saved Sirius with Harry. In Hermione's fourth year, things began to get dramatic, especially after the Yule Ball, which she attended with quidditch world champion, Viktor Krum. She was his prize in the lake for the second task. Fifth year, Hermione's biggest challenge was fighting at the Ministry of Magic with Harry, Ron, Ginny, Neville and Luna. She was knocked unconscious by a Death Eater by his purple flame spell, and had to take twelve different potions a day to heal. Sixth year was all jealousy. Ron and Lavender Brown started dating and Hermione's attempts to make him jealous included inviting Cormac McLaggen to Slughorn's Christmas party and staying with him in the hospital wing after Ron was poisoned. Eventually, she got what she wanted and Lavender and Ron broke up. Seventh year, Hermione didn't even return to school, and went Horucrux hunting with Harry and Ron. Her brains, apparation and quick thinking helped them out of Gringotts and life-and-death situations at Hogwarts. The worst part was when she was tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange in the Malfoy Manor; the cruciatus curse being used on her. In the end, her and Harry and Ron defeated Voldemort and Hogwarts went back to normal. Now, 19 years later, she is wife to Ron and mother to Hugo and Rose Weasley.

In the event of Hermione being in danger, would she be able to rescue herself or be rescued?

The mountain troll. Trapped in a bathroom with no way out and almost being smushed to death every ten seconds, Hermione screamed and screamed. Ron and Harry came and using the first spell that came to mind, (Wingardium Leviosa) Ron knocked it out with his own club. Harry and Ron saved her, though Hermione covered for them with a good lie.

In the trapdoor Fluffy was guarding, Ron got stuck in the Devil's Snare. Using a recently-learned spell, Hermione saved him from being squeezed to death.

When Professor Gilderoy Lockhart set the Cornish Pixies on the poor, unsuspecting second-year class, Hermione froze them all in the air.

Being petrified by the Basilisk wasn't a huge deal, though she had to be revived. After Harry killed the diary of Tom Riddle and saved Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets with the help of Ron, the mandrakes were ready to help all the other muggle-borns (as well as her) unfreeze.

Ah yes, Draco Malfoy. She punched him real good in the face while the trio were headed down to Hagrid's cabin to see Buckbeak's execution.

When Harry and Hermione went back in time, Lupin in his werewolf form started to advance on them for a midnight snack. Luckily, Buckbeak had grown fond of her and Harry, so he protected them.

While the Dementors tried to kiss Sirius and Harry and Hermione on the banks of the pond, the two friends tried to produce their Patronuses. Ultimately, it was Harry who saved their lives.

At the Quidditch World Cup, the trio of friends got separated from Harry, and Hermione and Ron ran for their lives, later standing up to the Ministry workers to support Harry's innocence.

During the second task of the Triwizard Tournament, Hermione was Viktor Krum's prize at the bottom of the lake. He swam down as an animagus shark, rescuing her.

When Umbridge tried to torture Harry in her office, Hermione lied to protect him by saying the weapon was ready.

At the Ministry of Magic, Hermione used some pretty cool kick-butt magic she'd learnt in DA (Dumbledore's Army) against the Death Eaters to protect her and her friends. Eventually, she was taken out by one of the Death Eaters' purple flame magic. She was brought back to Hogwarts and recovered in a reasonable amount of time.

When Death Eaters barricaded Hogwarts, Hermione bravely stood her post outside Snape's office, even when he knocked out Professor Flitwick. She fought the Death Eaters and protected Hogwarts.

In the brief period of time in the sky with the seven Harrys, Hermione battled for her life along with Kingsley Shacklebolt.

At Bill and Fleur's wedding, Hermione managed to apparate herself and Ron and Harry out safely. She knocks out and wiped the memories of the Death Eaters in the little Café.

In the Ministry of Magic, when their false identities faded away, Hermione bravely fought Yaxley, even when he grabbed hold of her during the apparation.

When Ron was splinched, she relocated his shoulder using the dittany.

In Godric's Hollow, when Nagini attacked Harry and her, she bravely saved him (though in the process she broke his wand) and apparated them both away.

When Xenophilius Lovegood betrayed the trio to the Death Eaters, Hermione apparated them out, to a forest, where they unfortunately got captured by snatchers.

The Malfoy Manor. Probably the most terrifying experience of Hermione's whole life. Bellatrix Lestrange used the cruciatus curse and a knife on her. She passed out from the pain and Harry, Ron and Dobby saved her. Only to end with Dobby loosing his life.....

When Harry, Ron and Hermione broke into Gringotts bank, they were trapped, after the cart dropped them off (literally) and the guards came up against them, Hermione came up with the plan to escape on the back of the chained up dragon. Once again, they were home free because of Miss Granger.

At the battle of Hogwarts, Hermione stabbed the cup of Hufflepuff with the Basilisk fang. She kissed Ron full on the mouth and they officially concluded their love for one another.

Hermione saved Draco Malfoy in the Room of Requirement with help from The Boy Who Lived and his BFF.

Status

Overall, Hermione is the most skilled witch (EVER, like of ALL TIME) and can save herself in all but a few situations.
