The nerves were so built up in Harper she could barely brush her hair straight as her hands were shaking. It was the day of comic con. The day she would finally meet Kiefer Sutherland. And the day she would hopefully return home. Yet her nerves and anxiety weren't giving her a break.

She screamed out as she chucked her hairbrush on the floor and kicked out at the wall. Betsy quickly came into her room and saw Harper's messy hair, the hairbrush on the floor and sighed.

She slowly walked over and picked it up before turning to Harper.

"Want me to do it?" She asked quietly as Harper stared at her confused.

Yet she nodded and turned around in her seat. Betsy smiled as she stepped closer and began calming brushing Harper's hair, though she was just as nervous she could tell meeting this man was such a big deal to Harper.

"I think it's going to work you know." She mumbled as she continued to brush Harper's hair.

"What makes you say that?"

"The universe can't keep you two apart forever you know?"

Harper hesitated. "It can when you bet against your future." She grumbled.

Betsy grabbed a hair tie from her wrist and began gently scraping the top half of Harper's hair before neatly tying it so it hung over the rest.

"I think it's learnt it's lesson. If anything I can only imagine the hell Ace has raised back home." Betsy mumbled as she thought back to the many times Ace lost his temper. People, buildings and anything he could get his hands on suffered when he lost his temper.

Harper shrugged slightly as she sighed and rested her head on her hands. "I'm not as confident." She mumbled.

"Only one way to find out."

Harper say up straight and turned to her and watched as Betsy went over to Harper's bag on the bed and and began rummaging. She pulled out a pale blue dress and held it up.

"I think Ace would like this." She said softly, a small smile appearing on her face.

Harper smiled weakly back at her and nodded. "I think he would."

Betsy couldn't help but grin at her as she rushed back over to Harper.

"Maybe a little makeup too, I'll make you look promise." She said excitedly.

Harper turned to her and raised an eyebrow as Betsy shrugged slightly and looked down.

"Okay so you're not the only one who doesn't have friends." She mumbled.

Harper scoffed slightly. "How the hell do you not have friends? You dated Ace Merrill for fucks sake!"

"Exactly! I dated Ace Merrill! No girl wanted to be my friend after that, jealousy does a lot to a girl you know..." her voice trailed off as Harper crossed her arms over her chest.

"Doesn't it just." She grumbled as she stood up and grabbed the dress.

She went and grabbed fresh underwear before heading into her bedroom's en-suite. Yet just before she shut the door she paused. Turning she saw Betsy still standing there, looking down at the floor and fiddling with her fingers. Harper felt a twang of guilt as she realised that even though it was her fault they were back here, she was in the exact same position as her. Betsy had no friends, the cobras clearly didn't like her and even Ace left her. She had no-one. Harper had to be the bigger person.

"You're still a cock knocker you know?" She spoke.

Betsy looked up at her and nodded slowly. "I figured." She mumbled before looking down at the ground.

"But I'll be your friend."

Betsy's head shot up at her.

"On the condition you leave me and Ace alone?"

Betsy nodded quickly as the smile grew on her face.

"Deal."

Harper smiled weakly at her.

"You sure you want to be friends with a cock knocker?" Betsy mumbled as the smile disappeared.

"I'm friends with Eyeball aren't I?" Harper said with a laugh as she disappeared into the bathroom and shut the door.

Betsy smiled as she almost jumped, she had a friend. An actual friend. Harper seemed to somewhat have forgiven her for what she did and she wasn't about to mess this up again.

Eyeball slowly walked into Ace's house. His car was still outside, which confused Eyeball as he expected to see it outside Irbys.

"Ace?" He shouted.

No reply.

He walked around the whole downstairs but found no trace of his best friend.

"Ace?" He shouted again as he made his way up the stairs, taking two at a time.

Bursting into Ace's bedroom he saw him laying flat out on his bed, staring up at the ceiling.

"Ace..." he mumbled as he stepped closer.

"Shut up." Ace snapped as he stayed staring up.

Eyeball slowly walked closer. "I thought you'd be at Irbys..."

"Shut up." Ace snapped once more.

A small smile appeared on Eyeball's face.

"You don't mind if I go wait for her then?" He asked quietly.

"Shut up." Came Ace's snapping reaction once more.

Eyeball grinned down at him, Ace was trying to stay home.

"Go get the post Eyeball." Ace spoke a lot more calmer than before.

Eyeball nodded. "Special delivery for Ace Merrill. Coming up."
