As it turned out I wasn't getting any sleep that night. Surprisingly Christopher slept through the night which brought me a little comfort. At 4:15 I couldn't take it anymore, I slid out of bed and slipped into a pair of navy blue shorts and a simple black t-shirt. I grabbed my running shoes, my phone, earbuds, and keys and decided to go for a run. I made sure the door was locked before I pressed play on my spotify playlist and started running. The first song that came on was Animals by Nickelback, contrary to popular opinion I actually enjoy their music. I didn't really know where I was running to but I just wanted to keep running. I got lost in my thoughts and the feeling of my feet hitting the concrete sidewalk; so lost as it turned out, to not see the person running towards me. Before I could realize their presence, we collided with a force that sent shockwaves through my entire body and we ended up on the ground. I took my earbuds out and put them in the case in my pocket. The large frame of the man who landed on me became quickly familiar as I looked up at him under the warm light of the streetlamp.

"Buck?" I asked with disbelief.

"Eddie?" He responded with equal shock.

Even in the early morning darkness he was beautiful, the streetlamp cast a warm outline of his features. I smiled as I stared into his gorgeous blue eyes. In his attempt to break his fall, Buck's hands ended up landing on either side of my body, effectively pinning me down. I quickly became aware of our position and his closeness to me. I could smell his natural aroma mixed with a hint of sweat and it was driving me wild. I could feel heat building in my body and I needed to get out from under Buck before I ended up with a hard on. I gently pushed him and he rolled off of me.

"I'm guessing you couldn't sleep either," I asked looking a my watch, "given that it's quarter to five in the morning and you look like you've been running for a while."

"Nah, not really," Buck replied, "I tried everything to fall asleep, but nothing worked. I figured I might as well start my day early and go for a run."

"Me too, and apparently my feet were bringing me to you," I said with a chuckle, "I guess my body knew what it wanted even if my mind didn't."

"I didn't expect to see you out here when I started running," Buck responded, "I didn't even really know where I was running to and then I ran into you."

"Literally," we both said in unison.

"Sorry about that by the way" Buck continued, "wasn't paying attention to where I was going."

"It's okay Buck don't worry about it," I assured him, "I'm fine it's all good. Why don't we just head back to my place, take a shower, and I'll make breakfast for us."

"I'd like that," he said with a nod, "who knows maybe we'll even get some sleep."

"That would be nice," I responded, "although I doubt I'm gonna get any sleep because I went running, very seldom do I fall asleep after a run in the morning."

I stood up and offered my hand to Buck. He took it and I hoisted him to his feet. Together we started running back towards my house. We ran in silence most of the way back to my place. Quietly I unlocked the door and opened it for Buck, gently closing and locking it behind us.

"Shhh, we dont want to wake Christopher up," I whispered gently as I guided Buck down the hall to my room.

Buck closed the bedroom door behind him and he just looked at me.

"I guess you take the first shower," I said quietly, "I have some towels in the closet in the bathroom there. Take your time, it's not an issue."

"Okay thanks Eddie," Buck said gently, "I'll be back in a bit."
