chapter eight:

"Who's Lia?"
———

Hana did not expect this to happen. She thought that after making up with Gorya after her red card was revoked that everything would go back to normal. But then that lunatic Thyme had to give her a red card. She wasn't sure how to feel about the situation yet. On one hand she was being bullied by the entire school but ok the other hand, being served a red card meant that Thyme knew she existed.

The stadium was filled with the cheers of the student body. Hana was on her knees in the murky water with tears falling from her face. Thyme, MJ, Kavin, and Liliana were sat on red couches in front of her. Liliana had an uncomfortable look on her face. Normally, Lia would do anything for her friends but she wasn't exactly sure if Hana could be considered that. The only interactions the two had were from the group texts that they had sent earlier that day. And that group chat only existed because Gorya had added them both. She wasn't quite sure how to feel about Hana especially after she had abandoned Gorya.

Thyme promised Lia that he wouldn't do anything drastic and he was only doing this to scare Hana. After all, Hana was the one that spilt the food on his shoes — not Gorya. Perhaps this was the reason why Lia justified the red card on Hana. Or perhaps she was just incredibly tired of putting on an innocent façade. If her friends back in Switzerland could see her now they would ridicule her for being soft.

When another student who's name she didn't know held an electronic hair clipper and threatened to shave Hana's hair Lia stood up abruptly. "What the fuck?," her voice echoed throughout the stadium, "you didn't tell me about this Thyme". "Relax," he replied.

She very much could not relax and wanted to stop the entire scheme. Gorya beat her to it when she ran into the abandoned arena and began consoling a crying Hana. "Why are you doing this? Hana had nothing to do with it," she then turns to Lia, "And why are you with them? why are you letting this happen?"

Her mind went completely blank as she tried to think of any reasonable reason for why she was justifying the red card but everything seemed pointless. She knew that Gorya was a person with a pure heart and no ill intent so she wouldn't understand the messed up thoughts that Lia had. Maybe this was the reason why Liliana felt so comfortable with the F4 boys even though she only knew them for a little bit — it was because they all understood the pressure and the lives they had.

Thyme stood up from his couch and told Gorya to take the punishment in place of Hana. Liliana instantly shot up to protest but was calmed down by MJ. He held onto the back of her Vivienne Westwood corset blouse to stop her from smacking Thyme in front of the whole school. Lia turned to MJ with threatening eyes but was met with him gesturing up towards the bleachers.

"You got your answer wrong yesterday," a voice said silencing the cheers. Ren was standing near the top of the bleachers where MJ had pointed, looking down at Gorya and his friends, "I'm almost late because of you,". Gorya apologised whilst Thyme walks off and the other two members of F4 dismiss the crowd. Ren threw his arm over Lia and forced her to follow the boys out of the stadium. Lia tried desperately to look back at Gorya with an apologetic look on her face.

Although Gorya was disappointed with Liliana she still considered her a good friend. When her and Hana were invited by a couple girls to go to Mira'a party she instantly messaged Kaning and Lia when she got home to see if they wanted to go with her. Hana had already refused since she would be busy that evening and Gorya didn't want to face F4 alone.

Kaning was excited to go to Mora's party. After all, both Kaning and Gorya admired Mira and her philanthropist efforts across the world. Of course they wanted to meet her! The only hurdle in their way was the fact that Mira was incredibly close to F4.

Liliana responded instantly and to Gorya's text and told her that she too was invited and would meet up with her at the party. Currently, she was looking for a bathroom at the airport. The boys had convinced her that she needed to meet their childhood friend, Mira, since she was arriving back from France today. When she got to the airport she grew tired of watching Kavin and MJ flirt with the flight attendants so she went off to find a bathroom. Hopefully she'd be able to kill some time on her way there. One thing about Lia is that she had an atrocious sense of direction. She, quite literally, constantly had to be around someone else to point her in the right direction. She must have forgotten her own flaw because she stood in the middle of the airport having no idea where her friends were. Liliana sighed and went to ask someone at the front desk if they could tell her where the gate where Mira would arrive was.

Mira was hugging her friends tightly. She hadn't seen most of them in months — aside from Ren, of course. She was glad to see that their personalities hadn't changed one bit: they were still the fun and eccentric people she remembered growing up with. After five minutes of catching up Kavin began to anxiously look around. Mira asked him what was wrong. "I can't find Lia anywhere, do you guys know where she went?" The other three shook their heads and began looking around as well.

"Who's Lia?" Mira asked Ren. A faint smile appeared on his lips, "Liliana is our friend! We wanted you guys to meet because we thought you would like each other". When she heard the name of the girl, Mira dropped the phone in her hand, "Liliana? As in Liliana Nakamura? You guys KNOW her??". The boys looked at her weirdly. MJ slowly nodded his head, "Yeah, why?". Immediately, Mira covered her mouth with her hands and let out a squeal of excitement, "how did you even meet her? I've been trying to for months!". Thyme laughed at her statement, "we get it, she's Hikaru Nakamura's daughter, but other than that she's just a normal girl".

Mira was horrified by Thymes' statement, "just a normal girl? She literally owns over a dozen different charities and donates all the profits from her brand! That girl is literally a legend in high class society back in Europe!". Ren blinked. He — and the rest of F4 — had completely grown numb from experiencing any emotions when learning different things about Liliana. The girl seemed to have lived a thousand lives. But, at this point, nothing was surprising to them anymore. Hell, if someone said that Lia was the first person to walk on the moon the boys would just give her a high five and move on. Mira sighed, "You guys really need to get out of Thailand once in a while".

"I agree with the pretty girl," said Lia, completely out of breath. And in response, Mira let out an ear splitting scream.

"Is it cause I called you pretty?"
