The sounds of the gushing rain outside of the window woke Hyunsuk up. He stretches his body before reaching out for his phone. 7:13 am. "It's raining." He stares at the wall and recalls what was going on last night. The image of Jihoon crying on his shoulder passes his mind. He still could feel the heat coming from Jihoon's tears. He looks at his hand, which he used to pat Jihoon's head. He still remembers the sensation of each strand of Jihoon's hair touching the palm of his right hand.

Hyunsuk jumped out of his bed and strides to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. He works as silently he can to avoid Jihoon from being awake. He took out a few slices of bread and put it in the toaster. While waiting for it, he makes honey lemon tea for Jihoon as a hangover drink. After preparing the table, he's about to wake Jihoon up.

Slowly, he moves next to Jihoon and whispering, "Jihoon, wake up." Not even a budge. Jihoon still sleeping like log. He reaches his hand out and softly shakes the latter's shoulder. "Ji-Jihoon, wake up!" He raises his voice a bit. He jolted down when Jihoon groaned.

"Ji-"
"Mashi!?" Hyunsuk couldn't continue his words hearing the very first word coming out of Jihoon's mouth. He was stunned. What did he expect?

"Oh-Uhm..."
"Oh, Hyunsuk sorry. I- I" Jihoon put the blanket away and stood up swiftly. He fixed his shirt and notice he was not wearing his shirt. He looks at Hyunsuk. Hyunsuk just looking at him confused with both of his hand meets.

"I have to go."
"To where?"
"Mashiho. I must see him and apologize." Hyunsuk feels a pang on his heart. He feels dumb. Thinking that he might have the slightest chance to be with Jihoon. "Well, at least fill your stomach first," Hyunsuk said. "I- I can't." Jihoon plopped back on the couch. Jihoon rubs his face using both of his hands. Before resting his head on the backrest of the couch.

"I am stupid? Hahaha," Hyunsuk doesn't know how to react to that. He just silently watching Jihoon. "People get sick of something so fast, huh. He told me, I am tired of everything. Let's break up." Hyunsuk widened his eyes. He can't believe what he hears. He can't even mutter a word. He runs out of words. Was this the reason Jihoon look so miserable last night? But why? How come it come to this? Hyunsuk thought. He covers his mouth.

"I- I am sorry. I don't have any idea." Hyunsuk says in such a low tone but could be heard clearly.

"Why are you apologizing? It's not even your fault. No one to be blamed here. It was my fault for failing to protect our relationship. My fault for being a failure lover go him. My fault for not making him happy enough." At this moment, Hyunsuk thinks back to Jihoon's face when he talks about his lover last time. How much happy he is. The way he is willing to change and move just for his sake. Jihoon is the type to do anything just to make the person he loves happy.

"Why is it your fault? When I see how much you did for him. You said no one to be blamed yet, you blamed yourself. If you still love him, don't you think you should go and try to win his heart again? The same as you did last time? You are his lover for five years, I believe you know him more than anyone else here." Deep down there, Hyunsuk laughing at himself. How dare he give love advice to his unrequited love while his own love life is a failure. At least, he will never see the Jihoon he saw last night again. He will do whatever he can to make Jihoon happy again.

"Do you think I could do that when he said he's tired of me? There's nothing I could do Hyunsuk."

"Then are you just gonna give up and be a loser? How about your academy? It was your dream to open an art academy with him. Jihoon I know it is not a loser. He will do his best to achieve his dream."

Jihoon looks at Hyunsuk. Then he creates a small smile.
"Why are you so worked out?"

"If that is the thing to make happy, then why shouldn't I work out?"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA, thank God I have you as my friend."

Hyunsuk's smile faded away. It's okay, Hyunsuk, Jihoon smiling. It's okay. You did well. Hyunsuk comforted himself. "Let's have breakfast," Hyunsuk said walking away towards the dining room. "Oh, lemme go to the restroom first," Hyunsuk answered with a nod as if Jihoon could see him.

Tears escaped his eyes followed by his fist clenching his chest. The tears he has been holding back since Jihoon called out for Mashiho finally break. Moans escaped her lips through the suppressed sound of hiccups. He swallows his sobs to avoid Jihoon could hearing them. Hearing the stomping sounds getting closer, Hyunsuk moves to sink and washes his face. Get rid of all trace he was crying. He turns his back when he heard Jihoon's getting closer. Forces a smile, Hyunsuk takes a sit opposite Jihoon and hands him a glass of honey lemon tea.

The silence filled the dining table. None among both of them strike a conversation. Hyunsuk is focused on his toast and tea while Jihoon, no one can guess what's in Jihoon's mind. His eyes were glued to the drink on the table. Hyunsuk clears his throat.

"Jihoon, your drink getting colder." He catches Jihoon's attention. The latter jolted. "Oh, sorry. I just- I wonder how he is." Jihoon finally takes a sip of his drink. The sweetness, sourness with a hint of bitterness from the lemon tinge Jihoon's tongue. "It tastes good." Jihoon smiling. No gleaming eyes. Just the distant lonely eyes. Hyunsuk turns his head down again, mulching his toast. Can't bother to make eye contact with Jihoon. He never pictured himself seeing Jihoon with dull and gloomy eyes. If Mashiho is the only person that makes him speak with gleaming eyes, I'll make sure to make you be with him again. Just never lost that sparkling eyes, Jihoon.
