Chapter 10

Primavera Art Academy. I smiled while looking at the big billboard of the academy building. Jihoon has worked so hard to establish this academy.

"Primavera? It sounds nice. Any reason behind the name?" I recall the time when Jihoon tells me the name of his art academy. Jihoon spends most of his time busied himself with the academy matters. Whether he tries to decorate the building or buy the essentials to be used there. Jihoon bought a two-story shop lot around the city. It's a good investment for the future.

"Nothing much. It's just, Mashiho loves the spring season so much. Since this academy is our dream together, I am thinking why not I just go by the flow? Right?" I left his question unanswered and peeked outside through the window of my office.

The leaves of the trees have been brownishly showing the autumn season is coming. It was at the end of the summer when Jihoon first come here. Many days pass by. He is getting better day by day though sometimes, he always spaces out and sighs after checking his phone. There's time too when he wakes up with puffy eyes the next morning. He has always smiled and been happy in front of me as I don't know his eyes are not as sparkly as they should every time he's laughing or striking a joke at me.

I knew it was never easy to move on from heartbreak. What more after that such long year of the relationship.

"You love him so much, huh Jihoon?" Even after being hurt so badly, Jihoon still thinks of him. Labeled me as a bad person for being toxic but I've seen how worst Jihoon is all this time. Smiling with no soul left, just living for the sake of maybe in the future his ex-lover goes to his life back.

"Yes, I do and will do. Never once he leaves my heart." Quiver of arrows feels like stabbing a bullseye at my heart. The words that came out from Jihoon's mouth hurt me in so many ways. I feel like a dumb dog waiting for my owner to come back after throwing the stick far away for me to chase. I am trembling. The tears dam just waiting to break down.

"Guess you never understand it right, Hyunsuk? Since you've never been in love?" He chuckled. What are you chuckling at? Are you playing with my heart?

"What? What didn't I understand, Jihoon? What do you feel? What do you know about my feeling? How the fuck do you know I've never been in love?! Have you ever asked me about my feeling? Have you ever asked me about my love life?! Never! All you can think of is just that lover of yours! Or should I say, ex-lover?" I couldn't help it. I burst into tears. "Shut up! You can never talk about Mashiho that way. You are no one, Hyunsuk!" My eyes widened. After what I've been through with him, I am still no one to him? My lips quivered. "Can you please at least thank me? Jihoon, please once think of me. Just once. I'll leave. Sorry for spouting nonsense." I let the stream of tears flow to my cheeks. I bit my bottom lips to avoid sobbing sounds from escaping my mouth. My feet walk aimlessly. I'm too hurt to goes back home. My vision is foggy. I let my body sway with the wind.

My mind is fuzzy. The sky getting darker. It probably gonna rain. I thought the sky will stay clear until the sunset and the moon appeared. Before the rain, my tears flowed down again. How come everything went this way?

"I am sorry, Jihoon. Sorry for not understanding your feeling. Sorry for talking badly about your lover. Sorry for adding pain to your wounds." The loud wails escaped my mouth. I couldn't help but cry out loud.

"Hyunsuk, stop drinking. You're drunk. Geez. What's happened?" Hyunsuk just groaned and showed his sheepish smile. "Hehehehe, Kim. One more mar-" Kim put the glass that he wiped down. "It's not the first time I see you like this. Did your heart get hurt again?" Kim sigh. Hyunsuk rarely showed his happy face but to see him with tears stained on his face somewhat break his heart.
