"LengShui-dashi isn't at her home!" One of the elders reported to Jiang Cheng the next day.

The current head of the clan stood up from his throne in surprise. "What do you mean that my second sister isn't inside the Valley? She said she's going back!"

"She did returned," Elder Fu answered. "She went to the fields upon her return and went to her home as Zewu-Jun was waiting for her. I believe they talked about something before Zewu-Jun left her. But when we came to give a report, she was nowhere to be seen. We thought she just taken a stroll in the Valley but no one has seen her! We are getting worried, she always tells someone if she's heading out to do something important. Master Midnight is still in the forest, so I think at first she was strolling.

"But it has been hours and she hasn't returned yet! We're getting worried for she always notifies any of us if she's leaving the valley. Master Jiang, I know it's impudent for me to demand, but please help us! We are very worried for her!"

The Elders of the Hidden Water Valley that Wei MeiLan manages came to the Lotus Pier to appeal to the current leader of the Jiangs to help. Compared to the Nie and Lan clan which were under supervision in case Wei goes away, the YunMeng is the nearest place for their old bones to travel.

"Do you know what Zewu-Jun and second sister discussed before she disappeared?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"Master Jiang, I apologize but we do not like to eavesdrop on them. They never fought with everything and it never affects our Valley thus we never interfere. LengShui-dashi was in high spirits when she came back from outside." Another elder answered truthfully.

Jiang WanYin sighed. Wei MeiLan never leaves a place without telling someone she had gone to. Even if he asked Lan XiChen, he's sure that he doesn't know too.

"This is the first time she left without telling anyone," Jiang WanYin answered. "If Wei WuXian is alive, he—"

He faltered at his words when he realized something. If ever their second sister is away, it's either she's off on a mission or doing something.

And she tells her twin brother everything honestly before she leaves.

Now that her only confidant is gone, she doesn't have anyone to talk to, not even him or the Eldest Young Master of the Lan clan.

She can talk to anyone, but she won't say something that will be deemed as her weakness, not even to the people she loves.

He sighed in defeat. He has no other way to know where his second sister is, but if something happens to her, there's one person that will know.

And it's not him who will know.

"Tell Nie HuaiSang that Second Sister is gone; as for the reason, don't tell him anything. He often panics when Second sister is leaving without saying anything to anyone or notifying him if she went out to hunt," Jiang WanYin answered.

"Should we also tell Zewu-jun?" Elder Fu asked.

"I'll tell him myself about that," He stood up from his place. "For now, just manage the Valley while she's out. I think she was quite confident to leave the Valley since everything is quite stable there but not outside the Valley. Perhaps she was preparing for something that must be important."

"Yes, Master Jiang," Elder Fu bowed. "Thank you so much, Head Master, we will go now."

Being out of their wits, who would have thought that Wei MeiLan joined the two and the young cultivators regarding with the demonic arm they got in the Mo residence? She even disguised herself as one of the young cultivators through the Illusion mirage spell she created herself for her to look like a wandered interested in their case and decided to tag along with them. Lan WangJi lets her do what she wants, including doting on the kids like she was an elder sister to them.

Until they stop over at a hotel to take a rest where Lan Huan was currently staying. When Zewu-Jun saw her, he can't help but sigh at her weird antics this time.

"Why must you go without telling anyone?" Zewu-Jun asked.

She smirked. "You can go around, taking hunts like strolling at the market, but I can't?"

"It's not that, A-Qing, but,"

"You know that I don't want to miss this chance to be with him, right? Who knows when he will go away again? And you know that it runs in our blood, not even you can stop me if I decided to become one too,"

Some Lan juniors that eavesdropped on them got confused about their conversation as their Master never spoke to any lady this long nor tried to reason out unless it was their soon-to-be Mistress.

"Huan'er, this won't take long, I promise. Just-"

Noises came out from the hotel where her brother and his lover were currently staying, interrupting their talk.

They joined the fight to see that there was an assassin trying to kill them and set out the arm that cause a mess inside. Wei MeiLan pulled out the whip she was hiding behind to try to subdue the demonic body while the drunk Hanguang-Jun and Zewu-Jun tried to fend off the body.

"Wei Ying!" She screamed.

Wei Ying took out the flute he made and tried to play music to pacify the demonic body that is chasing Jin Ling so that he can divert its attention toward him.

Out of annoyance, Wei MeiLan removed her illusion spell and pulled out her bells to slow down the movements of the demonic body. 

"This idiot loves to make sure to be the stupid bait, as always!" Wei MeiLan summoned her spear to engage in the fight to buy time for the two, Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi, to stop it using their music.

After the successful subdue, the place is in almost total destruction, enough to cause a headache for the two leaders. "You know what, I think it's better for the two of you to sleep outside, in the forest if this thing will be targeted by some idiot who thinks they can handle this shit. And-"

"Aunt Mei!" Jin Ling ran towards her. "Why are you here? How come you're that girl?"

Wei MeiLan looked at him like he sprouted a mushroom at the top of his head. "Do I need to report where am I supposed to go?"

Lan XiChen sighed. "A-Qing..."
