"Master!"

Wei MeiLan woke up the next day to hear Lan YuXia's voice. She felt relief when she heard her only disciple, and hoping that she's not hallucinating until another voice spoke.

"Second sister, how are you feeling right now?"

Jiang WanYin was also inside her room, discussing silently with Lan YuXia until the latter noticed Wei MeiLan's stirring.

Wei MeiLan sat up slowly and stared at them, making the two become worried. Then, faster than their brains processed what has happened, Lan YuXia saw herself in the arms of her beloved master while Jiang WanYin was staring at them.

"M-master? What's wrong?" Lan YuXia tried to separate herself from Wei MeiLan and tried to check if something happened to the former.

"I'm fine, you're fine. Thank you..." Wei MeiLan kept mumbling.

"Uhm, Master..."

"A'Xia, you're not a hallucination, right? You're real and standing in front of me, right?"

"I—of course, Master. Why do you say that?"

"Ok, I'm being left out again.." Jiang WanYin mumbled.

Wei MeiLan released a chuckle. "Sorry. It's just, well I hope it doesn't interfere with other matters. I'll get up now then we'll do something today."

"Oh no," The two people were against with her idea. "No. You can't. Stay here. Master Lan will come here later."

Lan YuXia was briefed with the case that her master tried to close with her own way. Jin GuangYao didn't insisted for her presence since Lan XiChen, Jiang WanYin, and her were also included on that hunt. The slaves were freed, and the anomalies were completely destroyed.

Nie HuaiSang volunteered to help in recreating the hidden valley to speed the process and the residents will be able to resume their daily lives back.

Thus, she doesn't have anything to do except to rest, and accommodate visitors, as much as she can and if Lan XiChen and Jiang WanYin allows the visit.

"Master, what really happened back there? I know I'm dying back then, and then I saw a bright light coming from you then all went blank. Clan Master Lan told me you pulled me back from the death." Lan YuXia asked with much hesitation.

Wei MeiLan pulled her to sit beside her. "Lan Huan always know what I'm trying to do, huh? Well, to be precise, I didn't pulled you out from the death. I stopped you from dying."

"Isn't that same?" Jiang WanYin asked.

"My precious little brother, you really don't comprehend it, do you?" She chuckled. "Preventing someone to die is different from reviving someone from being dead. A'Xia here was still breathing, albeit faintly and becoming slow, when I used my cultivation. My brother, can use energy to rise up dead people, especially with resentment while still alive and dying. I stopped her from dying, so, whatever happens to her next, I will try to know again."

"But how did you know that I will die?" Lan YuXia wondered.

"Clairvoyance. I can see glimpses. I can see how people I care will die. Mostly that, but I can see what will happen to my brother, whether he's dead or alive," She pat her student's head. "After my brother perished, you, A'Cheng, A'Ling and Lan Huan are the most important people in my life. So yes, I saw how you died. But, if I try to change your path, you will still die back then."

"What do you mean?"

"If I didn't let you join and picked another person, I have no doubts that you will follow us discreetly, and your carelessness will lead to your death,"

Jiang WanYin stared hotly at Lan YuXia who's shocked.

"So, yes, the only way to deal with it is to face it. I told someone how a certain person will die, but I never managed to say how they will die too. Now, I'm trying to lessen the deaths and help people die from ripe age, and leave to world prepared."

"Second sister..."

"Ghost General returned the same way as A'Xia, except..." Wei MeiLan smiled faintly. "We have a different cultivation style, of course the outcome will not be the same, so as the method."

Jiang WanYin didn't spoke. Wei MeiLan knows that he still held hatred in his heart about her twin, but she can't utter any word about it.

"Now," she changed the topic. "I don't want to cope up here in my room, give my share of work."

"No!" Lan YuXia said.

"Yes!"

"Get more rest."

"Look who's talking," Wei MeiLan said to her dear student. "Days ago you were almost mistook as dead and you're running around now like it didn't happen when we should be monitoring you. And you're telling me to rest, really?"

"Master..."

"Listen up kids!" She said sternly. "I'm not some weak random lady out there that faints upon sight of blood or dismembered body. I'm not even trying to use my energy after I woke up and you want me to rest? What am I, a child?"

"Master Lan will get angry if he finds out that you're not resting well!"

"Why in—"

"Fine, I'll give the paper later," Jiang WanYin decided. "Just don't stay up late. Or I'll take it away."

"Thanks, A'Cheng!" Wei MeiLan grinned.

"What? You can't just let Master do what she wants!"

"If you have any alternatives to make her stay here besides the paperworks and medicine, I will appreciate it," Jiang WanYin murmured. "But we came up to any persuasions for her to stay but she won't agree with just sleeping and resting."

Lan YuXia huffed. "Fine. I'll watch over her so that she won't stay up late."

Wei MeiLan was chuckling at the two people inside her room with their banter and obliviousness to one another.
