Natsuki POV

"Natsuki, today's the day you can leave!" A nurse opened the door, bringing in a set of stilts. I say a quick thanks, and with some help get myself stood up with them. It feels really slow and clunky, but I'd much rather do this than a wheelchair, I suppose. When I eventually stumble to the lobby, I sit on one of the chairs in it. I also try to kick my cast leg, but it's just sorta dangling there. As I sat there, I was going to pull out my phone, but before I could, the doors opened, with the woman of my dreams coming through. She looked at me, and her face lit up.

"Natsuki!" She rushes over and picks me up, peppering kisses on my cheek.

"Haha, jeez Yuri, there's other people here, you know?" I say. Yuri glances around, and gives some random guy looking at us a glare, making them look away.

"I'm sorry, dear, I have just been waiting for this moment. It was just about... 4 days? But it felt so much longer!" She picks up my stilts and hands them to me, and sets me on the ground. "Oh, um, we still have to go to school, by the way."

"Wait, really? What time is it, then?"

"Umm, it's 7," Yuri said, "if we get ready as soon as possible, we should be able to only miss an hour or 2. Let's go!" Yuri heads to her car, while I try to follow behind, only marginally faster than my limp.

Timeskip

Well, I lost about an hour and a half. I had to get a new uniform from the school, since I'm not going back to that place to get the few things I had. Luckily, my small size meant most people didn't look my way, but there were some who asked. Also luckily, even with how little I feel the teachers care, they still have at least some mercy in their hearts and made it so I didn't need to make up for my absent week. Eventually, though, the last class ended, and I met up with Yuri before the club.

"S-should we let them know?" Yuri started to fidget with her hair again. She seemed to be getting nervous.

"Guess it's better we do now. Hey, uh, something wrong?"

"U-uh, well, I'm sure they'll be fine with us, uh, d-dating... but I can't help but fear for the worst..." Yuri kept looking at the floor.

"Hey, hun, don't worry about it okay? Sayori kinda already expects us to be dating, and Aya couldn't care less. Monika never really gives hints if it matters to her, but she totally has a thing for Sayori, so she'd be stupid to judge us for it." I grip her arm. She seemed to calm down.

"... Okay. I trust you." Yuri placed her arm around my neck, resting her hand on my shoulder. She probably wanted to hold my hand, but well, stilts. I sorta lean into her, and we walk to the club together. When we got there, Sayori greeted us.

"Hey! Welcome back, Natsuki!" Sayori cheered, before realizing my closeness with Yuri. She looked at us multiple times. "Wait... Am I seeing this right?" Yuri gripped my shoulder a little tighter.

"I-if you mean what I think you mean, then yes..." Yuri started, "we are um, d-dating now!" she forced out a little extra confidence in that last part. Sayori gave us both a big hug, which was a bit more awkward due to the metal sticks on my side.

"Aaaaah! I'm so happy for you guys! I knew you two would get together at some point!" Sayori gushed over us and how we were going to be perfect together and stuff. I leaned back slightly to talk to Yuri.

"See? This ain't so bad." I whisper to Yuri.

"I suppose you're right, dear."

"Of course. When am I not right?" I whisper back. After this small exchange, I tune back in Sayori's speech.
