(A/N) at some point, im going to give aya a bit more of a purpose in this story. i just gotta think of how to do that first.

With Natsuki in a hospital bed, and Sayori, Monika, and Yuri just doing the average loop of schoolwork, nobody really had any plans. Of course, Natsuki was bored, so she used her phone to entertain herself.

Natsuki: hey i noticed something
LilMonix3: What is it?
Natsuki: i gave yuri the lavender name and i understand why sayori is named sunshine but what does lilmonix3 mean
LilMonix3: Oh, that. Well, I'm not exactly sure why I thought of the name, but it just sorta stuck, you know?
Natsuki: honestly i think that name sucks
Sunshine: That's a bit rude 😑
LilMonix3: You say that, but you don't even have a nickname, Natsuki.
Natsuki: not my fault you limited who can make nicknames
Lavender has been given the role "nickname giver".
Natsuki: why wont you just let me make my own name
Sunshine: If it makes you feel better I didn't make my name.
Lavender: Huh?
LilMonix3: Just give Natsuki a name.
Natsuki: remember who gave you your nickname
There was a slight pause in the chat, until...
Lavender: If we analyze the current nickname schemes, we have Sunshine, who is Sayori, and Lavender, which is my own. Both of these have something in common, in that they have a relation to us. The title of "sunshine" when given to a person often is done in reference to that person being able to make everyone around them enter a happier state, which Sayori often tries to do, and is also often successful. I, on the other hand, was likely named Lavender due to the word being associated with the color violet, and how I have been told I have a strong lavender scent. This means that an appropriate name for Natsuki would either have to be based off of her personality, or based off of a certain quality. It should also be in a single word, as both mine and Sayori's are also only one word. Natsuki is tough, sweet, and cute for her personality, and in terms of qualities, she enjoys manga and is an excellent baker. The name that should be given to her should be something that matches certain qualities. With this, her nickname shall be...
Lavender has renamed Natsuki to "Cake".
Cake: you did all of that to name me a 4 letter word
Sunshine: I'm going to be honest and say I didn't read any of that.
LilMonix3: ...Okay!
Timeskip
"Okay... come on, Sayori. You got this!" Sayori whispers to herself, before opening her messages with Monika.
💚Moni💚 - 📞
Sayori: Moni?
Monika: Yeah?
Sayori: I have a question for you
Monika: OK, shoot.
Sayori lets out a sigh, and starts texting again.
Sayori: what people do you like?
Monika: What do you mean?
Sayori: I mean like
Sayori: romantically
Monika: Oh! Well, the way I see it, if I love someone then I love them. None of that gender or stuff like that really matters. Love is love you know?
Monika: In simpler terms, I believe it's called pansexual?
Sayori felt a weight get lifted off of her. Maybe this isn't as hopeless as it seems? She thought.
Monika: Why do you ask?
Sayori: Just something I thought about, is all.
Monika: Well, what about you?
Sayori: huh?
Monika: If you can ask me, I can ask you.
Sayori: Oh right
Sayori: I think I might be the same as you
Monika: Great to hear!
Sayori continued some random pointless chatter with Monika. Actually, they continued this banter for the entire day. Eventually, though...
Monika: Sayo, I gotta go to bed.
Sayori: But Moni, I'm bored, and talking to you is helping cure that!
Monika: You can find a video to fall asleep to.
Sayori: Could you please try to entertain me?
Monika: ...
Sayori: Something wrong?
Monika: I just had the strangest urge to record me doing a flip.
Sayori: what?
Monika: Guess I'm more tired than I thought, haha
Monika: Good night, Sayo. The club should be open tomorrow, since Natsuki's coming back from the hospital.
Sayori: Alright, fine. Good night Mon!
Sayori sighs, and opens her YouTube app up. She played some random Playlist and tried to fall asleep to it. Luckily, she recently found the sounds of a piano comforting, so she can quickly fall asleep.
Meanwhile, Yuri was going to fall asleep, too, but opened Natsuki's messages first.
Dearest Natsuki 💗 - 📞
Yuri: Tomorrow's the day, darling!
Natsuki: sure is
Yuri: I had to do some extra shopping to prepare for you. I'm waiting for you for clothes shopping though.
Natsuki: aight i understand
Natsuki: yknow i honestly cant thank you enough
Natsuki: youve brought me out of the hell that was my life, and are willing to let a train wreck like me into your life. i cant tell you how much this means to me
Yuri: Natsuki. You are the most amazing, wonderful person I've ever known. Your past will never make me love you less. You deserve more than any life I could give you. I only want to see you happy.
Natsuki read through what Yuri just sent to her. She had no idea what she did to deserve someone like Yuri, but she was not complaining. Pretty soon, she'd be living a life hopefully free from the terror of her past one, and definitely better than it, too.
Natsuki: i hope i can make you equally happy
Natsuki: see you at home, babe
