~Chapter 19~

Momo's POV

After classes ended, I basically ran to Recovery Girl's office. I really want to make sure y/n is okay. I really care about her. Her being hurt this bad is really worrying me.

I couldn't even focus in class today because of how worried about her I was. As soon as I made it, Recovery girl was walking out. "Leave her be, she just fell asleep." Recovery girl said as she shut the door right in front of me.

"But you said I could come check on her after my lessons."

"I'm sorry but she needs to rest. Yaoyorozu just come by later and see if she's awake."

"Hey. Are you going in?" Sero said as he came up from behind me. "No, Recovery Girl said we can't bother y/n right now." I explained.

Recovery Girl nodded and walked away. Sero and I both sighed as we also left.

"Did you talk to Shoto yet?"

"No, I can't figure out what to say to him."

"Can't you just tell him how you feel?"

"He's not that simple, he'll take it as me breaking up with him."

"How are you supposed to have any conversations with him then?"

"I don't know. It's hard. I can't even be upset with him, you know his family situation."

"I know. I'm sorry about it."

"Why? It's fine. Just difficult."

"I know what you mean."

"I don't know what to do. With y/n it was so much easier, she listened to everything and did her best to understand."

"Yeah. y/n is a great girl."

"She so is. I wish I hadn't fallen for Shoto. Believe me, I love him so much. It's just life would be easier if I stayed with y/n."

"I get what you mean. But to be quite honest, I'm glad you started to like Shoto. I've always liked y/n I just couldn't figure out in what way."

"She likes you back, a lot. I can tell by how she acts with you."

"Really?"

"Isn't it obvious? I mean even while her and I were dating she would drop everything to spend time with you."

"I guess I never really realized. She never told me she dropped you for me. She would always say you guys didn't have plans."

"She probably did that so you wouldn't feel bad. But you know Yaomomo, it's fine. I think everything worked out well. As long as I talk things over with Sho."

"Yeah. Everything will be okay. I'm rooting for you two. Also, can you tell him to lighten up with y/n."

"I'll try to talk to him about it."

"Thank you."

We parted ways when we got back to the dorms. I ended up running into Ochako and Mina. So I decided to hang out with them.

"So, everything going well with y/n? Is she okay?" Mina asked.

"I'm not sure. Recovery Girl didn't let me check on her."

"Oh that sucks Momo, sorry." Ochako said.

"It's fine really. I'll just have to go in a bit to see if she woke up yet."

"I can't believe Shoto got her like that." Ochako said.

"Right? I thought she was going to kill him. But Sero grabbed her and I thought Todo would stop but no." Mina added.

"I know. It was completely unexpected. I'm so frustrated with him. I know he's mad at her, but seriously? Impaling her with ice? He's insane."

"What's his problem with her anyways?" Mina asked.

"I don't even know. He got rid of me, and got Sero away from y/n. Isn't that all he wanted?"

"I don't know Momo, I'm sorry."

Y/n's POV

The room is so bright. I squinted until I got used to the lights. I sat up, and was struck with a horrible pain in my side. "fuck" I let out.

I just sat there, frozen. I can't move, it hurts too much.

Someone walked in. I turned.

"Todoroki?"

"Hi y/n."

"What do you want?"

"I'm sorry."

"What?"

"For hurting you."

"Why do you care?"

"I feel bad."

"I don't want your pity."

"That's not what this is."

"Isn't it?"

"No."

"I don't believe you."

"Why."

"Because, you wouldn't apologize to anyone, you're an asshole."

I extended my arm with metal in a sharp point towards him, stopping it right before it got him in  the face.

"Seriously? I come to apologize and this is what I get?"

"What do you actually want Todoroki?"

"What if I told you I wanted to kill you?"

"It wouldn't be unexpected, I mean you already tried."

"But if I kill you, how would I be any different than a villain?"

"You wouldn't be different."

He pushed my arm away from him, walking closer to me.

"You're still injured. You meant for that to penetrate through my face. You didn't have enough metal. You're weak. I could kill you now."

"Do you really want to stoop that low? And for what? Why do you even hate me? I've done nothing to you. You never even loved Momo, so I didn't steal her for you. And I left Sero so he could be with you. What reason could you possibly have that explains why you hate me?"

"I feel inferior to you."

"You've got to be kidding me. That's the reason you're so upset with me? How stupid are you?"

"See, you talk to me this way because you know you're smarter."

"That's not even it. You're just being dumb."

"Am i?"

"You are."

"Oh. Well still. I despise you. You're better than me and I hate it. So I want to ruin you."

He then sets his hand on fire and points it towards my face. Just as he places his whole hand over my face with his firey hand, I used what metal I had left to pierce his arm.

"What are you doing?"

We both pulled our weapons back, pausing to see who was at the door. Both Momo and Hanta stood their staring at us in disbelief.

"Why are you attacking her while she's injured?" Momo yelled and ran to my side.

My face hurts. He burnt it.
