~Chapter 5~

Shoto's POV

It's Monday, I have to break up with Momo today. I hope she doesn't make a big deal out of it.

I sighed as I looked at myself in the mirror. I quickly showered and got dressed. I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair. I should go early so I can meet her in class.

I walked to class with no interruptions. I walked in and only Bakugo was here. I sat at my seat and waited for more and more people to show up.

"Hey Shoto!" I turned and saw Hanta with his arm around l/n. "Hi." I muttered as I turned back towards the door. She finally walked in. I'll wait for her to come and sit down.

As soon as she did I took a deep breath. "Momo," She smiled at me. "Wait Shoto, I have something for you." I stared at her curiously as she pulled a small bag out if her school bag.

"Sato helped me bake these this morning, I hope you like them." She handed me a bag filled with cookies. "Actually Momo, keep them." I placed them back on her desk.

"Are you on a diet? Or do you dislike cookies now?" She stared at me, she seemed hurt. "Neither. I wanted to actually tell you something." She didn't say anything, she simply kept staring. "I'm breaking up with you Momo. I like someone else now, I'm sorry."

Her eyes started to tear up as she nodded with a smile on her face. "That's okay Todoroki, call me Yaoyorozu now." She turned to the front of the class and put the cookies back in her bag. I kind of feel bad.

I scanned the class as Mr. Aizawa was talking. Hanta and l/n were obviously and annoyingly flirting. If I could just get l/n out of the picture I could have Hanta. I could've had him
and I could've never hurt Momo.

"So annoying." I mutter to myself.

As soon as lunch rolled around I noticed all of the girls crowding around Momo, probably because she's sad.

"I didn't think you would break up with her so
fast." I turned and it was Hanta. "I needed to so I can tell the person that I like that I like them." Hanta nodded. "Who do you like anyways? You never told me."

"I actually wanted to talk to you about that." He looked at me curiously. I might as well tell him. Maybe he'll break up with l/n for me. "I like you." He stared at me.

"Sho, you're my best friend. And I love y/n. I can't just up and leave her man. I don't wanna be a scumbag." Hanta pat my shoulder and walked away.

Stupid l/n. Always in the way.

Hanta's POV

I can't believe that Shoto actually likes me. What am I supposed to do now? I'll stay with y/n for now, just so I can figure out my feelings.

Lunch ended and we now have hero training. 1v1 combat fights. "Who do you absolutely most positively not want to fight?" Y/n asked me. "You and Bakugo for sure." I answered. "Aw, I'd love to beat your ass in a fight ya know." She laughed.

"Oh, I'll be back babe, I'm gonna go with Yaomomo." She kissed my cheek and walked away.

"I can't believe Todoroki actually broke up
with her." Denki said, he rested his elbow on my shoulder. "Yeah, it's crazy." I mentioned. "Super unmanly to break up with her at school." Kiri added.

"We can't control what he does." I sighed. I can't tell them what Shoto told me today. What am I supposed to even do about it.

"Oh look, the pairings are up." Denki mentioned. I scanned the screen, I'm fighting Ojiro. Who's y/n fighting. Oh no. She's fighting Shoto.

I know y/n is strong and has a cool quirk, but Shoto? He's probably really mad at her too. Shit.

I walked up to her and whispered in her ear. "Why don't we switch partners?" She shook her head and laughed. "No way. I'm beating icyhot's ass, for Momo." I sighed. "I knew you'd say that."

My fight with Ojiro was short. It was difficult on both of us since he's used to close range while I'm used to far range.

Now y/n is fighting Shoto. Everyone was out of the control room so they could stretch. It was only Yaomomo and I. "I'm worried about Shoto." Yaomomo mentioned. "Why?" I asked.

"y/n is mad." I sighed. "Shoto is too, he's specifically mad at her as well." Yaomomo looked at me curiously. "Why?" I shook my head. "I shouldn't say." She nodded and we watched the fight.

Shoto sent a blast of fire right at y/n. But before it reached her she put a wall of
metal up. Using her magnetism to bring her to the top of the tower. Shoto froze her, which she counterattacked with turning into a puddle of hot metal and melting through the ice,
heading right towards him.

He moved back right before she got to him. This gave her enough space to transform back into her normal shape and throw a backwards kick right to his head. He didn't have enough time to dodge. y/n has a thing for rushing people. Using the magnetism she flew to the back of him and then made a metal pole. She ran towards him then whacked his side with the pole, sending him flying.

"I will never get used to how fast she moves when she actually tries." Yaomomo mentioned. "Me either." I laughed.

Shoto used his ice to send him back into the ring and sent a burst of fire towards y/n. Which was a bad move on his part. She coated herself in metal and sprung towards him. Tackling him to the floor, she shoved his face down first.

She held him down, her foot on his face, shoving him into the floor. He left hand held his wrists and she had a big smile on her face.

She is crazy, but I love it.
