"Sau Rab di itna hai tujhe chahna..." Shehzad sang under his breath as he sprayed his cologne on the next morning, getting ready for work.
*"I swear to God, I'll love you so much..."
"You better not be singing that for anyone else but me." I warned him entering the room, but I was smiling. He looked so much relaxed. I knew very well that he had been worried for Mishal and Maaz, and he felt better now that his former Bhabi had a life partner, while Maaz had a fatherly figure who wouldn't mistreat him, In Sha Allah.
He walked over to me and grabbed my hand and pulled me towards himself, causing me to squeal involuntarily in surprise. "I'm not capable of loving anyone else but this crazy Bee." He dipped me dramatically, causing my eyes to widen. A wide grin lit up his entire face, and I couldn't help smiling again, happy to see him this way. He straightened me up, clasping both our hands together, palms pressed together. The sun pouring in through the balcony doors caused golden highlights in his hair, and everything about him reflected warmth and happiness. Ma Sha Allah.
I leaned up and pressed my lips against his in a soft and slow kiss. He released one hand and tangled it through my hair, pressing me closer against himself. His other arm then wrapped around my waist, as he deepened the kiss.
"You're g-getting late." I gasped out a few moments later, as he trailed kisses down my jawline and onto my neck.
"The clients can wait. I have more important things to focus on." He pulled back and looked at me, his eyes sparkling with mischief and amusement.
"Oh really? Like what?" I wrapped my arms around his neck, tilting my head back. My high ponytail swung around with the movement, brushing my back.
He scooped me up into his arms, making me gasp and then laugh, before carrying me to bed.
"Shez..."
He set me down onto the bed, and I got up on my knees, grabbing his face and pulling him down for a kiss. For a while we just remained like that, oblivious to anything and everything else but each other.
"I'm so happy today." He muttered when we pulled away for air. "Alhumdulillah."
"Alhumdulillah." I stared up at my husband, and once again I realised how good he was at hiding his emotions. When I'd first meet him, I would never have guessed that he had swam through an ocean of grief, and was constantly engulfed by its waves. And this is why we should give people the benefit of the doubt before automatically judging their behaviour. "Listen, come home early tonight if you can. I have a short article to write and I'll finish it quickly. We can eat in tonight, maybe order Chinese?"
"Sure." He turned to go, but I didn't want to let him go. I pulled him back towards myself and he raised an eyebrow at me.
"Five more minutes." I whispered, before pulling him back down towards myself again. This time it got so intense that we fell back onto the bed. I gasped out, feeling his weight on me.
"Sorry." He muttered between kisses.
I started to pull off his unbuttoned shirt.
"Okay, cheeky Bee, I hate to break this up, but I have to go." He pulled away and stood up, buttoning up his shirt. "We'll continue after our date tonight." He grabbed his laptop bag, wallet, car keys and phone. "Love you." With that, he strode out of the room.
