Lies That You Told

Chapter 7

Aaron

         Once I get off the plane I take my stuff and catch a cab to the hospital I change into my scrubs and clock in I haven't slept in 36 hours but I need to do what I do best which is work and I work for at least two hours before siting down beside James in the break room "Those fucking interns man" he says leaning back "I haven't got mine yet" I say.

    "Yeah they're with me I'll just say you have a lot of work to do with them" he says we both chuckle "Are they really that bad" I ask "Yes terrible" he says "How was the wedding?" He asks "Fine" I say "Just fine?" He asks "It was a beautiful wedding" I say "It was a beautiful wedding" he says mocking me "That's what everyone says" he says "There's no other word to describe it" I say "So tell me was the wedding beautiful or was she beautiful"he says propping his leg up on the coffee table.

        I feel something drop in my stomach could I really be calling the girl who ruined my life beautiful. "Just the wedding in general I couldn't give a shit about her looks"  

      I say I lied. I stand up and pour myself a cup of coffee "Let's talk about something else" I say taking a sip out of the cup "Sex?" He says "We can talk about your sex life but not mine" I say "Why don't we ever talk about yours?" he asks "Just tell me" I say taking a sit on the counter "I've been dating this guy for 6 months " he says "You're going to have to elaborate on that" I say "He is a cardio surgeon he is really hot and good in bed" he says "So cardio surgeon, hot, good in bed what about personality" I say

       "He is nice, kind, sarcastic, oh and did I mention good in bed" he says I chuckle then take another sip of my coffee "So does super hot sex god Cardio surgeon have a name" I say finishing my coffee and putting the cup in the trash "Xander" he says "And he has a hot name I thing you got yourself a keeper" I say he chuckles "Xander Warner" he says I raise my eyebrows "Warner as in the people who own the hospital Warner" I say he nods

    "So you're fucking a Warner" I say "I'm fucking a Warner" he says propping his other foot up on the coffee table we both laugh "I'm clocking out see you later" I say "Alright man I think I'm going to stay at Xander's tonight" he says

     I laugh as I leave the break room. Once I get to my apartment I go to the bathroom and take a shower and then put on blue boxers and nothing else.

      I watch a movie before I go to my bedroom I crawl into bed and fall asleep.
