Panic Attack

Kate's POV

Hey Merissa what's up?

Oh nothing just doing homework. You?

Same I hate the first day of high school
because they always give us homework. I miss elementary school when we only got to draw.

I know right! Well I have to go, I'm going walking with my mom.

Bye.

Kate put her phone on her bed infront of her and kept working on her homework. All she had was Language Arts and Social Studies.

Merissa's POV
"Merissa honey I'm going on my walk, be back in 30 minutes", said her mom.

"Okay bye mom."

I can't believe I just lied to my best friend over something so stupid. Well I guess I'm the stupid one in this situation. I don't want a stupid tutor especially if it's Mr. Conrad. But I don't want anyone to know that I'm getting tutored from him because then they'll know that I have a secret love for M...

"Oh and sweety don't forget you have a secession with Mr. Conrad today at 4:30", said Merissa's mother.

"I know mom, thanks. Have fun on your walk."

About 10 minutes later Merissa walked out and got in her car to drive back to school.

"Ok Merissa are you ready to get tutored?"
"Sure, I guess."

I feel so weird. Maybe it's nothing.

Mr. Conrad and Merissa studied for about an hour and a half. Even though she didn't like Mr.Conrad she had to admit that he was growing on her.

"Ok Merissa I think this is enough tutoring for one day so I think we should rap it up", said Mr. Conrad.

"Ok yea thanks again for doing this. I just don't want people to think I'm dumb and fail my S.A.T's for college."

"I was there to. I didn't even think I would graduate. But I got through it and look at me today teaching students that might be even more successful than me one day."

"Yea, maybe..."

Merissa suddenly collapsed, having a severe panic attack. She couldn't breath and Mr. Conrad tried to give her mouth to mouth but he couldn't because he knew the consequences. He ran straight to his phone on his desk and called an ambulance.

Merissa's Mom's POV
"Mrs. Ford?"
"Yes?!"
"I'm sorry to tell you this but her panic attack was very severe and she might have to take pills and medication to help her with this. Now this could have happened several ways. Has your daughter been stressed or afraid in some sort?"

"Well yes(no), her S.A.T's are coning up very soon for college. She's been studying for months and getting a tutor with one of her teachers but she's never said she was nervous or stressed(why would you lie to a docter)."

"Well we should probably have her stay over night just to check her blood level and other stuff. Here are some pills that are already prescribed for her. She needs take two of these three times a day for four weeks and come back so we can check on how she's doing. If she if feeling fine after that than we may can put her on a lighter prescription.

I hope my baby turns out fine. I would die if Merissa lost control of a disease I had when I was the same age as she is right now...

Merissa's POV
"So yea I had a bad day and um. Omg your awake hi", said Kate.

"Yea. Wow I feel terrible", said Merissa.

"Yea the docter said you had a terrible panic attack. Did u get it while you were walking?"

Ok Merissa this is your chance to tell her the truth and say sorry. Just go right out and say....

"Yea we walked really far."

"Oh well I'm sorry, but glad your fine."

"Me to Kate, me to."

Im such a wuss
