Flashback Stories

They walked into Mr. Conrad's classroom looking as desperate and confused as ever.

"Where is he", said Kate's mother.

"I don't know."

"Barbra?" Mr.Conrad was standing at the doorway of his classroom. His head was down and his voice seemed broken.
"Just let me explain everything. You just can't interrupt me or you'll miss important things."

They all sat down in the students desks. They moved them where they could see eachother face to face.

"Whenever I was in the coma you guys thought i died a couple hours after that but obviously that didnt happen. So here's what happened...

(Flashback)

"Barbra what's going on? Where's my baby boy?"
She didn't answer him. Didnt even look at him, none of the people in the room noticed him.
"Barbra?"
He reached for her hand but his hand went straight through her's. He started to sob.

What is happening.

He ran out of the room still with tears down his face and went to his hospital where he woke up. But he saw something strange.

How is this possible!

He was looking straight at his body lying asleep on the hospital bed. He started to breath heavily. Suddenly he looked over and heard a beeping sound come from a machine that was hooked up to his body. Nurses ran in and pulled him out of the hospital room and wheeled him into the surgery room. Kurt tried to see what was happening but they closed the blinds inside the room.

After 2 hours the doctors said he was fine and the wheeled him back into his previous hospital room.

He went back to Barbra's room to chack to see if she was doing ok but he found something amazing.

"Hah I'm so happy right now", said Barbra.

"You have our baby. I was so worried that something happened to him", said Kurt.

"Mrs. Rose we have to inject the medicine now", said one of the doctors.

She handed the doctor the baby and she started to stick the needle in her head.

"What are you doing to my baby. Don't touch him!"

Again no answer from anyone.

"You have a lovely daughter", said the doctor.

"Thanks I'm glad to have her."

"What I have a girl not a boy. It's not possible. I was there at the sonogram when they tested her. They could have gotten it wrong, I mean doctors are stupid."

"Who said that", said the doctor.

He stood there frozen

"It was me", said a nurse from outside the room.

(Back to the present)

"I really hoped that she heard me. She would have been the first. Even you didnt hear me Barbra."

"Well you found that our baby was a girl but did u know that she had a very bad disease in her brain?"

"Yea I found that out later on when i was looking at our files. I was crushed."

He looked at Kate with a sorry look in his eyes.

"So anyways after i found out that Kate was a girl i went back into my room after 20 minutes and saw the my beeper thing had flat lined but that couldn't be because my ghost body thing was still alive and thats who I was at that moment. It was already 2 in the morning so everyone had already headed home so know one knew that my body was dead. So I figured if i layed down in my body I would go back into it."

"And did it work", asked Kate.

"Yes. I ran out of the hospital after I put on some actual clothes, stole some money and got on a plane to Hawaii."

"Wait so you telling me that you... went to Hawaii without me", said Barbra."All those times I asked you were like no i dont like it there and then you just go there."

"That's the one place I knew you wouldn't look for me since I always said I hated it."

"Then how do you explain the body that was still there in the morning", asked Barbra.

"I honestly don't know how it got there."

"Once I knew it was safe to come back I had a lot of plastic surgery done on my body changed my first and last name and headed back here.

"How did you know that it was safe", said Kate.

"I heard that you guys already buried the body so you wouldn't suspect that I would still be alive."

"Ok. I have one more question. Why did you leave us. I was heart broken. Kate had to grow up withought a father daughter experience."

"I left because I was so afraid. My life was not put togther 17 years ago. It was a mess. I knew I could not handle being a father at that point in my life. I thought you guys would be better without me."

"But we weren't", said Kate.

She got up from the desk and stormed out of his classroom. Her mom and dad both stared at eachother ashamed.
