Barbra's (Kate's mom)POV
"Honestly sis I have no idea what is going on with Kate all day. Why what's the matter."

"She skipped school today. Merissa a
said she was crying her eyes out because she fell but I dont think thats it."

"Well when were all back at the house we will talk about it. I'll see ya then bye."

I really am starting to worry about Kate. Has she been taking her pills lately. That might be the cause of her moody behavior today. I'll just call her.

(Dialing)

Hello Kate.

Yes mom.

Are you ok? Aunt Crystal just called and said you just ran out of school. Whats happening.

Everything is fine mom.

No it's obviously not and I can here to crying a little over the phone. Come home now please and we will talk about it.

I don't think you want to her what I'm going to say to you.

I'm a grown woman I think I can handle it.

Ok bye.

"Oh god what is it", Barbra said after she hung up the phone.

Kate's POV
"Look Samara I have to go talk to my mom. Thanks for being so supportive and a good listener."

"Your welcome Kate, and I hope that your figure everything out with you situation."

(Kate's house)

"Mom I'm home."

"I was getting worried that you were never coming back home. You seemed pretty upset over the phone.

"Well this is very important to talk about."

"Sit I made you some snacks and got some punch out."

"Mom please don't. This is serious."

She put the plate of snacks in her hand back down on the table in the family room.

"Dad's still alive!"

"Honey weren't you the one who said we have to be serious now tell me what's really going on."

"That is what's really going on! I'm telling the truth."

"Kate I know you've been having a tough year but this is no excuse to play a trick on me like this. I know you didnt know you father but he would be very disappointed in you right now!"

"No he wouldn't!"

"And how do you know that."

"Because dad is Mr. Conrad."

Her mom just stood there without any emotion or words coming out of her mouth, but Kate could see that her mom was starting to believe her.

"Do you think he's still at school", her mom said.

"It's only 3:30 so yea, he's probably waiting for me to come back and talk to him."

"Then let's go."
