You were giving it time. Although time sometimes goes by so slowly. Too slowly. But you knew that ultimately you needed time to heal because after the events with Gojo, if you didn't give it time you'll end up in a relationship that would lack trust. And you have always believed that trust is very important in a relationship so you're trying to heal slowly before jumping into a relationship with him.
But it's hard to spend time with him because you two want something else that's more than a friendship. So you tried to steer away from him, because you didn't want to unintentionally rush things.
Even though you were barely seeing each other, he would still send cute gifts to your office. He didn't know where Utahime's apartment was. You were also in the process of moving, so he wanted to make sure you got the gift.
He'd still attempted to take you on dates, but disguised them as friendly outings. And as much as you wanted to reject his invitations, you gave in sometimes.
Your phone rang and you left it for a couple of seconds while you finished reading an email from the client. Once you got to the 'Sincerely' part of the angry email, you grabbed the phone to see Gojo's name displayed. You picked up the call before putting the phone up to your ear.
"Hey!" He doesn't wait for an answer before speaking. It makes you want to smile because for some odd reason you found it adorable.
"Hi."
"So... I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner later tonight..." He began, and before you could give him an answer, he cleared up, "It's not a date, if you're worried about that! My friends are going to be here too... You've met them. Suguru and Shoko."
"Alright. Tell me a time and I'll show up."
"At eight!" He excitedly responded. It had been a week since the last time he saw you, and you had begun the process of packing all your stuff up from Utahime's apartment, so you didn't really have the time to chat. You said your goodbye and hung up the phone.
You smiled, thinking about Gojo. You didn't want to admit how much happier you were when you spoke with him.
Maybe you had a good future with him. Everything seemed to play in his favor and you were starting to think that he was the right guy. You loved him, that was clear. But sometimes love is not enough to sustain a relationship.
But now you're actually thinking that you can live with him for the rest of your life, and that you won't regret it.
-
You knocked on the door, holding back a breath as you waited for the answer. Seeing Gojo didn't get easier, although you saw him once a week. You realized your feelings, and you wanted to jump back into his arms but luckily enough you had self control. You had to hold back for some time.
When the door opened, you saw a woman you hadn't seen in a while. She smiled at you, and you smiled back. You were the one that spoke up. "Hey, Shoko."
"Hey, honey. Come in." She moved to the side so you could enter the apartment. You walked in to find Gojo in the kitchen and Geto on the couch. Geto didn't bother standing up, he shifted and turned his head to wave at you. However, Gojo did stop cooking and walked over to greet you.
A hug wasn't appropriate, he thought. He didn't know how to greet you, so he waved which was something he could've done from the kitchen. He did start a conversation. "How was your day?"
"It was good, how about you?" You responded. Shoko walked to the kitchen to look for a drink that she could offer. She sighed as she looked at the lack of alcohol; she had forgotten she was in Gojo's apartment."It was good. Pretty boring, not gonna lie." Gojo answered. He smelled something burning which caused him to apologize as he ran back to the kitchen to tend the food.
