“California?” he looks to Detective McKay with shocked eyes. “I traveled to California!”

“It seems so. It would explain the difference in night and day.” He had called the station to report what happened and they replied that no domestic violence call, matching the description, had happened. Now they know why.

“Yes but..” He sits across her desk, running his hand through his hair.

“The detective, Detective Hernandez, will be calling. He has more information. The info I sent on you has them a bit freaked.”

Saul laughs, a hysterical tone to it. “Welcome to my world Detective Hernandez.” He says under his breath.  “Cali!”

Her phone rings and he jump. Hannah places one hand over his as she answers it.  “Yes he is. Yes. Him too. No, I believe it was the distance. It has always been local.  Right. Yes, here he is.” She hands him the phone and he takes it, biting on his lip as he brings it to his ear.

“Hello.”

“Mr. Rosen?”

“Yes but just Saul, Detective Hernandez.”

“Saul, then I am Joe. I hear I owe you a thank you for not facing a shooting this early Monday morning.”

“I suppose Joe. I am just not sure how. Really how any of this is happening.”

“Tell me about it Saul. How did you discover this amazing talent?”

“It all started when I was in high school.” He goes on to tell him about ever person, every murder he has witnessed, about Hank and Dena, about his own case. When he is done there is silence on the other end so long he fears he has lost him. “Joe?”

“I’m here I am just… Saul buddy, how do you keep sane?”

A dark chuckle. “Not easily Joe.”

“I well imagine. Ah, if it isn’t out of bounds, we have a psychiatrist that works with us, Doctor Hayes. She has read your jacket and would love to interview you. Not,” he is quick to add, “that she thinks you are crazy. She is just fascinated.”

“Sure Joe. I don’t fly, accept apparently in my mind,” they both laugh, “but if she comes down, I will meet with her.”

“Wonderful. Thank you for talking with me and keeping Mrs. Harper from shooting her husband.”

“Your welcome. May I ask? Mr. Harper, he is..?”

“Locked away. We have a good case. He should get a long time.”

“Very good. You will let Detective McKay know when Doctor Hayes is coming?”

“We will. Goodbye Saul.”

“Goodbye.”
