"Wait! What?" Marinette said, stepping backward.

A memory flashed through her mind as she remembered handing a miraculous to Alya, watching her transform into Rena Rouge, and Nino into Carapace. Marinette looked over at Chat noir and closed his hand with a frown.

"If what you said is true... if everything you said is true so far... I can't be Ladybug. Wouldn't that put everyone I know at risk?" Marinette said.

"Why don't you transform in our bedroom then? We need your memories to come back. I need you Marinette." Chat pleaded.

"I want my memories back too. You don't think I want that?" Marinette asked.

"I... I don't know why you're regaining your memories. I thought guardians were supposed to lose all of their memories forever after getting the miracle box. Somehow... you are regaining yours back... I want them to come back as soon as possible." He explained.

"I understand that."

"No... you don't. I'm the new guardian. You left me to be the new guardian with no guidance. I understand why you had to do it, but I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm now left without a partner. I need you." Chat sighed, trying to hide the hurt and frustration in his voice.

Marinette looked at the boy standing in front of her, still holding the earrings out hoping she would take them from him. She extended her hands toward his hands and forced his fingers shut around the earrings.

"But Marinette-"

"Adrien... I'm not sure why but I have a feeling there was a reason I left everything up to you. I'm assuming I knew you could do this. I'm sure that I could trust no one else but you for this." Marinette smiled up at him.

Chat looked down at his hands and looked at the ladybug earrings that lay there. He looked back up at her with a soft smile.

"Would you at least be ok with meeting someone?"

"Meeting someone? Who? Luka?" Marinette questioned.

"No... someone that was there for you even before I was. Someone who gave you guidance." Chat smiled, putting the earrings back in his ears.

Marinette watched closely and heard Chat whisper something, then suddenly a little red bug with black dots floated out from behind his back.

"Huh?! A bug! A mouse! A bug-mouse!" Marinette said, stumbling backward.

"No! No, it's ok. This is Tikki. She used to be your Kwami." Chat explained, trying to calm Marinette down.

"H-hi Marinette... Do you remember me?" Tikki shyly smiled, trying to keep a positive attitude though she wasn't sure why Chat noir forced Tikki to show herself to Marinette.

Marinette looked at Chat noir and saw him smiling at her and then looked at the little red floating creature near them. Marinette swallowed and hesitantly approached it, with Chat noir by her side. Marinette examined the so-called Tikki and another memory flashed through her mind. Marinette felt dizzy and lost her foot, as Chat grabbed her to keep her balanced.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"I-...I think so. I saw Tikki. And a lot of other memories." Marinette said.

"A Lot? What all did you see?" Chat smiled.

"I...I have a headache.. Can... we go home?" Marinette said, holding her head in pain.

Chat looked down at Marinette worriedly and then turned to Tikki. Tikki frowned, keeping her distance for Marinette's sake but all she wanted to do was be there for her friend. Chat nodded and picked Marinette up once again. He hurried back to their home and pushed his window open with his foot, once they got there.
