Dawoud's POV

The next several days since arriving, I felt more at ease and had less anxiety. To be fair, being as far away from Clark made it easier for me. I still cared about him because he was my uncle and my brother's doppelganger, but his personality was beyond different from that of my brother's, and his controlling nature made it hard for me to even get close to him.

As I stared at a photo on my phone of me and my brother, as well as Aunt Martha, Lois, and the twins, I began to miss them and my home. That had been, perhaps, the best day of my life before everything bad began to happen.

Khaled walked in, holding a cup of what looked like coffee.

"Good morning" he smiled and realized this guy had a permanent smile plastered to his face. "How's it going?"

"It's going" I said. "What are you up to?"

"Gonna go with my parents and Louai to a fashion show tonight."

"Nice" I tried to not sound so miserable. "Anyhow, I want to say thank you for permitting me to stay here with you guys until I figure out where I'm heading."

"You can stay here as long as you like. My parents suggested that you stayed and live here with us."

"That sounds tempting" I chuckled. "But the last thing I want is to be intruding."

"Nonsense. You're practically family and my parents are very grateful that you saved and protected us during the crisis."

"I did what anyone with a conscience would do."

"But still, we're all very grateful to you."

"Thanks."

"You're welcome" he arched his lips into a smile. "Do you want to come with us tonight?"

"I'm okay. I prefer to stay home and chill. Besides, I'm not sure I'll fit in with a whole slew of celebrities."

"Come on man" he laughed. "You'll have fun and Louai and my parents are hoping you will join us."

"Tell you what, let me consider it while I shower."

"Sounds good" he kept smiling. "But I'm still hoping you will consider it."

"Maybe" I laughed.

"I'll be downstairs. My dad invited Elissa, Diana, Assi, and Wael."

"As in Elissa Khoury, Diana Haddad, Assi El-Hellani, and Wael Kfoury?"

"Yeah" he looked at me, surprised. "So you know your Arab singers. I'm impressed."

"I am also Arab. I kind of have to know."

"Either way, it's impressive."

Khaled stepped out and left me with the desire to attend this fashion event, but while I was living with celebrities, at the moment at least, I still did not belong to that world.

After taking a much-needed shower, I heard weird noises, like metal noises banging against one another.

I quickly slipped into some black cargo shorts and a grey tank top, then grabbed my bow and arrows. I put on a mask over my eyes to conceal my identity as much as possible. I was also about to slip my feet into my shoes but I decided to go barefoot instead to avoid making any possible screeching sounds.
