It happened suddenly!

Chapter 10: Failed attempt

Emir did not pay any heed to Cemre's rant and immediately rushed towards Reyhan. He carefully made her stand at first, then scooped her in his arms and  headed towards his room. Cemre and Cavidan stared at him in complete shock while Melike smiled a little. She offered silent thank to God and headed back to work. Meanwhile Cemre and Cavidan followed Emir.

Cemre walked towards Emir as fast as she could and kept on repeating the same the sentence again and again.

Cemre: Emir, she poisoned your baba. How can you ignore this? The doctor, who did his routine checkup day before tomorrow, made a report stating he has been poisoned. I personally confirmed with the doctor about this. Emir... try to understand, she is here to harm us all. She is after your money!

Cemre repeated the same sentences for the nth time but Emir did not even bothered to atleast stop and listen to her. He went straight to the room and closed the right behind him before Cavidan could enter the room but Cemre somehow managed to enter inside in the nick time. Emir completely ignored her as if she was not even there in the room. He made Reyhan lie down on the bed and went to fetch first aid.

Cemre, who was now flabbergasted, stared Reyhan angrily. As soon as Emir left to fetch the first aid kit, she pounced over Reyhan and held her throat between his both palms. Reyhan cried in pain and tried to get out of her grip but Cemre's hold tightened even more.

Cemre: (angrily, gritting her teeth) How dare you filthy woman... how dare you trap my Emir in your charms? Didn't I told you that he belongs to only me, only I have right to touch him then how could you go on holiday with him?

Reyhan gasped to breathe, with great difficulty she tried to explain.

Reyhan: (chokingly) Cem.. Cemre... It was.. it was not my plan... nor his... I was kidnapped... someone too... took me forcefully... I don't... I don't know how... how Emir got to know this... and came to rescue me ... in nick time... the kidnappers car got crashed... and after that... I... I opened my eyes in someone's house...

Cemre: (tightening her grip more) Don't lie! I know, you can go to any extent to get Emir. I know your every bloody game! But have you forgot what am i capable of doing, ha?

Reyhan: (still choking) No.. no... I saying the ... truth... ask...him.. if you don't believe... believe me.

As Reyhan was explaining everything to Cemre, they heard the door opening sound. Cemre immediately left Reyhan's neck and stand straight beside the bed. But she was not quick enough. Emir saw her moving away from Reyhan and Reyhan gasping to breath.

Emir angrily rushed to Reyhan and examined her throat. Cemre's finger prints and nail marks were clearly visible there. He curled his finger into fist to control his anger and turned towards Cemre.

Emir: (trying to be as calm as possible, in low tone) Cemre please go from here before I loose my cool.

Cemre: (crossing her arms in front of chest) Yeah! You will loose your cool because this girl has filled your mind with her charms. I don't know what magic she did on you that you can't even see the truth.

Emir: (Sarcastically while gritting his teeth) O really! Now you will teach me how to see truth.

Cemre: (coming closer to Emir, in sugar coated tone) Ofcourse Emir! Only I care for you and this family. That's why I am saying this. (Turning to Reyhan) This girl is really clever. She not only transferred those money but also tried to kill uncle so that she can flee from here as soon as possible.

Emir just rolled his eyes and focuses his gaze on Reyhan who was silently shedding her tears while staring on the floor. Emir took a deep breath and turned to Cemre.

Emir: (calmly) She did not poisoned baba. She...

Cemre: (cutting his sentence in between) No Emir, she did! You must have forgot to see the  reports but I did! I am saying the truth. It stated that, Baba ...

Emir: (almost instantly) Half truth, Cemre! You read the half truth. It said food poison.

Cemre: (nodding her head in Yes vigorously) Yes Emir, food poison! His food was poisoned by her.

Emir shaked his head and extended his hand for Cemre. She smilingly slipped her hand in his thinking that he is convinced now and Emir started to walk with her. It was like dream come true for her because this was the first time when Emir himself asked for her hand. She smilingly stared at him while they reached the door. Emir slowly pushed her a little and said.

Emir: Foodpioson occurs due to bad food! And Reyhan don't cook here.

Saying so, he closed the door on her face and went to Reyhan while Cemre remained unmoved there. She didn't expected Emir to throw her out of his room.

Reyhan, who was staring down, raised her eyes to see Emir who was smiling to her while his eyes carried nothing but pure love.

He slowly came to her and sat by her side. All the while their eyes were glued! He then slowly opened the first aid kit and took out the ointment. A lone escaped from Reyhan's eyes when he raised his fingers to apply it on the corner of her lips but it went unnoticed by Emir.

"How will I live without him?"

"How will I breathe without him?"

"His presence fills soul in me."

"How do I survive without him?"

She flinched in pain when the ointment touched her skin and Emir immediately blew some air to soothe her burning skin. She cried silently.

"This air can soothe my burning skin."

"But what about my wounded heart, my burning soul?"

"There is no cure for them!"

"The only person who hold the power to cure it, will no longer be with me."

"Why god, why did you wrote only pain in my destiny?"

"Why did you snatched everything from me?"

Her trance were broken when Emir's lip touched her forehead lightly. The kiss was like a feather on her wound, a kiss of reassurance that everything will be fine, a kiss of promise that he will be there for her in every thick and thin of her life. Reyhan slowly closed her eyes  and Emir tugged her in duvet. She gasped hard so that she could inhale his smell as much as she could.

Emir kept on staring at Reyhan for all night without even blinking his eyes. There were unknown fear which kept on nagging him. He couldn't figure out what made his heart to fear but his conscious knew that something bad was going to happen.
