It happened suddenly!

Chapter 41: She left!

Sefer was honking non-stop but the bikers in front of their car were not ready to move. He pressed the horn for the last time before turning back to Reyhan.

Sefer: Ma'am, I need to check for another way out. Till then, please lock the doors and be seated in the car.

Saying so, he went out leaving behind a lost Reyhan.

For Reyhan everything was over! There was nothing left for her to be happy or sad. There was nothing left for her to be love or hate. There was nothing left for her to be alive!

Earlier she lived for her ailing mother. She was the sole reason for Reyhan's survival. After her demise, her whole world literally stopped! She was left with no purpose she was left with no hope and lastly she was left with no one left to live for until Hikmet called.

Hikmet was worried for her naive niece and was also concerned for his sploit son Emir. He knew that in this cruel world it would be impossible for Reyhan to survive without someone and he also knew that only a marriage could put his son back on the right tracks. He was aware that Reyhan was raised by her mother with utmost morals and values and could change any sploit brat into a good human being. And without any further delay, he called her and asked her hands for his son.

And on one fine day he visited her and gave her another reason to live! He gave her his pride, his most priced possession, his son Emir! He gave her Emir to smile again, to love again and finally to live again! And Emir... her Emir gave her hope.

Hope..., that someone was there for her. That someone cares for her That someone's heart beat for her. That someone can love her till she breathes last. And that someone can love her even beyond life n death. But... as it's rightly said that "even a sweetest thing has an expiry date!" And so her reason to live, her hope to be alive came to an end!

With empty heart and soul Reyhan unlocked the car door and slowly came out of it. With a clueless mind and void eyes, she started to walk... She started to walk away from his love, away from his life and lastly away from herself. While walking towards the unknown and desserted road, she stumbled many times, hurting her feet in the process but she was too empty in her soul to notice any pain. She was too empty in her soul to even notice that a truck racing towards her.

Somewhere on the unknown road, a driver was racing his heavily loaded truck. He was consuming alcohol while driving his vehicle and was glancing over his bag from time to time. He was so occupied in himself (or he pretends to be) that he didn't even notice a girl in front of him and hit her with full force.

Everything happened in a jiff. Sefer, who was right behind Reyhan, screamed for her but it was too late. Reyhan was already lying lifelessly on the side of the road with broken glasses scattered all around her. Sefer was shocked to see all this in front of his eyes. He couldn't believe how it actually happened and with that a flashback of a moment ago surfaced in front of his eyes.

Flashback...

Sefer was returning back from the area of jam when he saw Reyhan walking away. He was about to call her but just then his phone rang and he received it. As he was about to say "hello" When he saw getting hit.

Flashback ends...

Reyhan, who was walking aimlessly on the road was hit by a car. A car, which tossed her up on the side of the road, got itself hit by the truck, was lying upside down on the opposite side of the road. Sefer, who was the sole witness of this mishap couldn't comprehend whom he should help first? Reyhan or the guy in the car? His head literally swinged in both the direction for few seconds before he could make the final judgement. Inhaling deep, he rushed towards Reyhan first and checked her thoroughly. Besides a few bruises there were no sign of any severe injuries but she was unconscious!

Carrying her to the car and putting her safely on the back seat he rushed towards the car which was upside down due to the impact of the accident. He tried to make it upright at first but failed. So dropping that idea he went to check on the person who was inside the car and got shocked as well as surprised at the same time. Inside the car it was none other than Emir!

Sefer: (surprisingly) Sir... You? What are you doing here? Why did you come in front of the truck?

He asked in one go but in reply, Emir ignored him and groaned out loud out of pain! His groan made Sefer understand the gravity of the situation and without asking anything more, he moved forward to assist Emir.

Emir was in a semi conscious state with little visible bruises on his forehead. Thanks to the seat belt and airbags that he was saved even after that impact. Carefully removing all the hurdles, Sefer managed to get Emir out of the car and rushed towards the other car while supporting Emir by his shoulder.

Even in his semi conscious state, Emir kept on asking for Reyhan and didn't stop until he saw Reyhan by his own half closed eyes. As soon as a semi conscious Emir saw Reyhan safe, he closed his already closing eyes in relief and got unconscious at that very instance. Sefer had a hard time putting him on the back seat but he somehow managed and drove the car straight to the nearest hospital.

Emir slowly opened his eyes and was shocked to find himself in the hospital with a angry Zafer staring at him. As soon as Emir opened his eyes, Zafer, who was all worried for him a while ago, came running to him and stared at him angrily.

Zafer: (angrily) What was the need of pulling that stunt? Why did you throw yourself in front of a racing truck?

Asked Zafer angrily and reply Emir just hung his head down. Zafer waited for his reply but seeing him silent for long and having his head down in regret, he cooled down a little and asked him again.

Zafer: (calmly) What was the need of putting your car in front of that truck? If you really wanted to suicide, you could have simply jumped off the car! (Faking anger) Now see what you have done to your car! (making puppy face, in low tone) You knew na how much I loved it. (Raising his left eye brow) But let me tell you, it's still in better condition and now I am going to ride that!

Saying so, he was about to go when Emir stopped him by shouting his name.

Emir: (trying to get down from the bed, in high pitch tone) Zafeeerrrr.....!! Don't even think about touching my car! Otherwise I will kill you!!

As soon as he said so, Zafer and the doctor burst into laughter while a confused Emir couldn't help but stare at them with absolutely no clue.

Doctor: (laughingly) You were right Mr. Zafer. Only Reyhan and his car can make his alright.

The duo again laughed while Emir smile embarrassingly.

After examining Emir thoroughly, doctor and the nurses left, leaving behind Emir and Zafer alone. While humming his favorite song, Zafer dragged a chair beside Emir to settle down when out of blue Emir asked him about Reyhan.

Emir: (slowly, in barely tone) Reyhan... Where is she...? Was she here...? I... I mean, is she still here? She didn't left... already?

He added after a little pause. Zafer just smile and exhaled deep. He remained silent for sometime and Emir took that silence otherwise.

Emir: (breaking the silence) This means... she.... she left!

He said the last word with difficulty and unknown to him a lone tear rolled down his cheek. He hurriedly lifted his arms to wipe it but he was late, Zafer already saw his tears. And without saying anything, he hugged his best friend tightly and let him crumble into pieces in his strong arms.
