It happened suddenly!

Chapter 7: Pie in the sky

Reyhan had her eyes focused on food, as if it was the only thing that existed. She was not at all averting her eyes from it, not even when the house lady had some random conversation with her. She was desperately praying to God to make Emir see something else. But her prayers remained unanswered, as Emir had his eyes glued on her.

He was actually enjoying the show! He was smirking in between when Reyhan was fumbling with fork and spoon. She was having really hard time to maintain her composure.

The blush of her cheek, the innocence of her eyes were not allowing Emir to see anything else. He tried to divert his attention from her but his eyes couldn't help and kept on staring at her. Afterall, it's been long since he saw her blushing.

He went grumpy when those kids stole Reyhan from him and took her away. But when he came out of the room after sometimes, what he heard made him flushed!

Flashback...

Kids were giggling when they took Reyhan to the dining area. When they saw their mothers coming, they put their palms to hold their laughter but couldn't. They broke into laughter again. Their mothers curiously asked them for the reason and those innocent children blurt out everything, making Reyhan flush in the process.

Little girl: (referring to Reyhan, excitedly) She kissed uncle today, tomorrow she bring a baby for him!

She said jumping up and down while other kids too followed her. Reyhan was already not recovered from their previous stunt and this girl's statement made her eyes popped out of the socket. Her mother scolded her and tried to shut her by putting her palms on her lips but little lady pushed her palm down and again chirped.

Little girl: Yes mumma, I am saying the truth. I saw in movies that whenever uncle aunty kisses, aunty brings a baby home!

Little girl's mother apologized to Reyhan through her eyes and dragged little girl inside the room. Reyhan, who was flushed on hearing her, took a deep breath to relax herself.

"Thank God, Emir was not here!"

Thinking so, she casually rolled her eyes  towards their room and her heart skipped many beats when she saw Emir standing at the door, giving her a mischievous smile.

Flashback ends...

From that time onwards Emir didn't leave, even a single second, to tease Reyhan through eyes.

"Dinner has been done. Table has been cleaned. Dishes are washed. Now what?"

Thought Reyhan while slowly wiping the last dish. With each passing second, her heart was accelerating.

"Emir must be waiting for me."

She thought while hurriedly putting the dish in its place but again she stilled.

"But how can I go inside?"

"Was that kiss not enough that little girl made it even worse?"

"How can I go inside?"

"How can I face him?"

"His eyes alone was enough to make me flush during dinner, what will happen when I go inside?"

She anticipated while putting her hand on her thumbing chest. Just then some one put her hand on her shoulder and she jumped in horror. The mother of that little girl laughed seeing her condition and Reyhan too joined her for her foolishness.
