Night fell, and Spider-Man swung and leapt around the city. Earlier in the day, Batman had left a message with a batarang. They were coordinates to a large abandoned warehouse, to which Spider-Man landed on to the rooftop of the adjacent warehouse.

"This is where he told me to go. So, what's his plan here?" Spider-Man muttered to himself as he slid down the roof with his feet, leaping off of the roof and landing in front of the warehouse. He webbed the doors and yanked them back, feeling the heavy metallic doors grating against the floor as they were pulled open. Cautiously walking in, Spider-Man kept trying to listen around the warehouse. Trying to get a read on the environment around me, pitch black darkness aside from the windows. The warehouse itself is dead quiet, this is borderline perfect for Batman. So where is Batman?

The sudden slams of the screeching metallic doors snapped Spider-Man out of his thinking. His Spider-Sense going off as his body acted on its own, catching a thin metallic rod with a beeping cylindrical device attached to it. The brief moments of light that he saw from the beeping arrowhead was drowned out by a blinding flash and a near deafening bang. Spider-Man was staggering from the sudden flashbang, his Spider-Sense trying to tell him what's around him. A sudden sound of rapidly pattering feet from the left, as his feet suddenly were swept out from underneath him. Spider-Man catching himself on his hands into a handstand, the feeling of a silk rope wrapping around his waist.

By now, Spider-Man's senses have returned to him and he got yanked towards whoever was holding the rope. It was a woman, with black hair down to past her back. She had a gold crown on with a red star in the center of it. She was wearing what could only be described as an armored American swimsuit. With gold plating in the shape of two Ws emblazoned across her brassiere with a another plate of golden armor across her midsection. The woman laid Spider-Man out across the floor with a clothesline to his midsection. Sliding across the floor, Spider-Man had to pull himself to his feet. Before he could get a full sense of his bearings, his Spider-Sense went off once more.

Two more arrows shooting towards him from different angles. Catching one arrow, seeing it blink red  before throwing it towards the other arrow. Both arrows exploding and the shockwave blowing him back further, him leaping onto the wall and climbing up the wall to try and hide in the rafters to get a chance to recoup. Then the sense went off again, and a red blur was briefly seen running up the wall with lightning trailing around him. The blur grabbed him and threw Spider-Man back down to the ground, Spider-Man landing on his hands and feet. The blur going back and forth, hitting Spider-Man with speedy punches with each pass around.

Spider-Man trying to get a read on this blur, getting an idea and tries shooting webs around his feet. The blur ran through the webs, getting caught in the adhesive and being brought to a stop immediately. That's when he saw that one too, a man in a red and yellow full body suit with motifs if lightning bolts around his head and on his chest. Now that he's gotten a chance to get his bearings, he realizes that he hadn't seen or even heard any indication of Batman yet. More arrows were fired, and Spider-Man was leaping back. Flipping and dodging to avoid the arrows, climbing up the walls to avoid them.

Spider-Man was running along the rafters, hopping along them to try and close the distance between the mysterious archers and him. He saw them too, a man that looked like a modern robin hood with a green hood and green domino mask. The quiver on his back and the bow looking high tech. The other a woman wearing black and purple, her hair pulled back into a ponytail. The bow looked professional, the quiver looked normal. The arrows looked like they were armed by a military arsenal.

"Assessing the threats?" He heard behind him. The familiar deep voice of Batman shocking him. Whipping around, Spider-Man leapt off of the rafters. Shooting blobs of webbing at Batman, who simply vanished into the dark again. The webbing hitting nothing but air. Spider-Man immediately being caught by netting arrows, being pinned against the wall by the archers. The netting beginning to shock Spider-Man repeatedly. It was then that the whole team of superheroes revealed themselves, Batman included. Dropping from the shadows and joining the others. The man in red and yellow vibrating and walking out of the webbing he was stuck in, revealing he could have escaped anytime he wanted.

"What's the verdict?" Batman asked the others. The woman with the crown was the first one to speak.

"He has potential, but he cannot grasp his potential or even land a meaningful blow on us," She said. The man in green spoke up next.

"Well to be fair, we caught him off guard by flashbanging him first. So he started at a disadvantage," The Green archer defended. The female archer speaking up next.

"Yeah and when we lost track of him for a moment. That wasn't exactly us trying to pity him. I actually lost him in the rafters. You know, before Bats made him jump down," She said. Finally, it was the  man in red and yellow's turn to talk.

"I'll be honest. He's got something about him that I like. That webbing stuff he's got there has potential to have some real stopping power, it caught me off guard when I ran into it," He said, rubbing the back of his neck with a smile. Batman gave nods of consideration, looking over at Spider-Man.

"You got 3 of 5 members today convinced that you have potential to tap into. Now you need to convince all 5 of us that you can grab that potential and live up to it," Batman instructed.

"Members? Wha-Uh....who are these people?" He asked, pointing towards the other superheroes.

"Just a few members of a network. An interconnected network that has teams of heroes around the world," Batman said.

"What...? Wait....does that mean?" Spider-Man asked, beginning to piece together what Batman was saying.

"You just tangled with just a few members of the Justice League, Spider-Man,"
