Batman had briefed Peter Parker about his plan. This connection of his would go to Sophia Falcone, claiming that they would want to try and strike up a business deal with her. A small security detail of GCPD officers will accompany the connection, including himself. That would give Peter the opportunity to investigate the place and tie in Falcone to the Banedoleros. The business deal would occur in two weeks, which gives Peter time to do some investigating in his own time. Peter arriving at his apartment as he collapses onto the sofa.
"Okay, some time to prepare...some time to go through everything I know and try to prepare myself for what to look for," Peter muttered to himself. Selina crawled through the same window in her night clothes, with a few pouches on her belt full of jewels. Peter pulled out a secret part of his desk, with a headset connected to a laptop. Connected to the laptop, were a series of burner phones all connected and jury-rigged by cables and wires.
"Want me to get in touch with Ernesto? I could schedule some dead drops outside of the GCPD's usual stakeout spots," Peter asked Selina, who took her goggles and mask off.
"Not quite, since these were from Ernesto's personal stash. So I think we'll need to look towards another fence to sell these out of the city. Maybe try Rick," Selina said as she placed the pouches off her belt and onto the same piece of desk.
"What did Ernesto do?" Peter asked.
"My last job had a suspicious amount of security flanking their blind spots. Ernesto tipped them off to me showing up," Selina replied. She smirked up towards Peter, who she could see was in the process of thinking over something.
"So, give me the details. You're thinking about something, so tell me what's on your mind," Selina asked, leaning onto him with the curiosity of a cat.
"We're switching gears, trying to figure out what the Banedoleros are doing. Batman has a connection he's going to call to arrange a business agreement at Cape Carmine and I'm going to head with them to try and better investigate. Maybe bug one of their servers so we have a backdoor into their systems and can pull all of their records into the Batcomputer," Peter explained. Selina had a look of concern on her face.
"You're going into the Lion's Den, Petey. The Falcone family may be under new management, but that management is still Carmine's daughter," Selina warned.
"Strangely enough, I think Sophia Falcone has a soft spot for me? Considering we have common ground in our choices of occupation being based on the death of our family members," Peter said with an awkward shrug.
"Good, you can cozy with a mob boss," Selina chuckles.
Meanwhile, north of Gotham in a city called Bludhaven. A group of 4 muggers tries to corner a woman in an alleyway. One of them brandishing a lead pipe, and another holding a chain with a hook on one end.
"Come on lady, cough up everything. We're going to make this easy," The one with the pipe demanded. Unbeknownst to these maligned men, two figures have already been alerted to this crime in progress. Traversing rooftops with acrobatic prowess of both a circus gymnast and an agile soldier respectively. Above this alleyway, leaning over two building ledges. On the right side, coated in blacks and greys with accents of blue. A tactical suit with pouches along the waist, short but wild black hair. A black cowl style domino mask with blue lenses over the eyes, showing a smirk on his face. On the chest, emblazoned a blue bird. The figure reaches around to his back, pulling from behind his shoulders a set of dual escrima sticks, the sticks extending an extra 3 inches and activating with a blue glow and electric hum. Even with the glow, this figure meshes with the neon light and the night sky.
On the opposite ledge, a figure of starkly contrasting colors to the night and the figure. This figure clad in blinding white, with black and grey underneath. A hooded cape fluttering in the wind, a flag of light in the dark. Beneath the hood, an armored white helmet with similarly glowing blue eyes to the figure in black. Beneath the cape, a black bodysuit with a black crescent moon embossed on a large white chest plate. Across the waist, a belt with the same moon emblem on the buckle. Wrapping around the waist with black pouches, white metallic clasps sealing their contents within. Throughout the rest of the suit, there are white and silver armored platings to better protect the person within.
