Chapter 20: Ignorance and Disregard

(Tenten’s POV)

I just can’t believe that I have to stay away from my best friend. But, it’s best to keep away so he won’t die because of me at a young age; as in his exact age now, it’s either 17-18… not sure.

I was just sitting on a bench watching the fishes in the pond. It’s so deep down there. So, shall I tell him to stay away from me because he’s going to die sticking with me?! I better not, he won’t understand anyway. =_=

As I was thinking when I heard a voice from my back, “You should really be telling me why I can’t go near you!”, when I looked back, I saw Neji-kun. ARGGH! This guy is so stubborn! Way stubborn than me!!! ><

“Humanitarian reasons! Now get out!”, I stood up then screamed.

“Humanitarian reasons?! Stop being a kid! If you would just tell me, I can understand you! I won’t stop until you tell me.”, he said.

“Promise you will understand me?! No matter what how crazy, stupid and childish it is?!?!”, I said with a lower voice but loud enough for Neji-kun to hear. So, I’ll just say it to him.

“Yeah, yeah! Tell me now!”, he yelled. I don’t know if he excited or angry?!

“Ok, ok! Here it goes!”, I took a deep breath then stood a little firmer to look like serious and brave. Just when I was about to speak, my foot slipped which almost lead me to fall into the deep pond.

“H-Hey!”, Neji-kun shouted while running real fast to me. He stopped me from falling to the pond by grabbing my hand then throwing me away from the pond leading him to fall instead to the pond.

“Neji-kun!!!”, I shouted hoping that he can swim back to the surface. But a minute later, I didn’t saw any ripples and bubbles! He drowned?! Wait?! This guy can’t swim or not?!

I just dived to the pond. I saw him with his eyes closed and he was slowly falling. I quickly grabbed his hand then pulled him to the surface. Man! This guy is heavier than he looks!!! ><

When I put him out of the surface already, he still won’t keep his eyes open!!! Come on! Wake up, damn it! I don’t know how to do CPR!!! So, I’ll just to give him my own breath?!?! Wait? Kissing?!?! Hell, no!!!

But it’s only the way! I just closed my eyes so tight then moved my lips closer to his. “Think of happy thoughts! Think of happy thoughts! Think of happy thoughts!”, I kept repeating to myself when I felt something held my forehead which stopped me from kissing- I men giving him air.

“What are you trying to do?!”, I heard Neji-kun’s voice. When I slowly opened my eyes I saw him like this ---> =///_///=

I quickly jumped away from him then he slowly get up. “You could have at least gave me CPR!”, he said. I know he is trying to joke but I don’t see it funny!

“Well, forgive me! You were the one who saved me anyway! It’s your fault! I thought you don’t want me on the way, but why are you keeping on squeezing yourself in my life?! I told you before; I don’t want you around already! I don’t want you being part in my life and I definitely don’t want you to care whether I am in danger! From now on it’s you sort your own problems and I sort my own so get the hell out of my life! I am so sick of you! ARGGH!”, I cried and then ran away. Man! I can’t take it if I say those words to him. Please, Lord God, just don’t let him and me cross paths again! Please! I’ll transfer to any school, I’ll even go back to Suzuki High! Just please don’t let him die yet! Don’t let my friend die… he’s very special to me…
