Chapter 5: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle

Candy Mountain! The land of sweet sugary goodness. Where everything is magic and rainbows.

Not really just Zaban City.

But it was nice just dreaming about it.

While on my flight I tried to understand what was happening to me. Starting to feel a headache I decided to ignore it for a while and enjoy the view unfolding beneath me.

Arriving at Zaban City one of the Kirikos guided us to the place the exam will be held this year. Of course he was in disguise not with that 'magical' beast body. Yet I don't see the magical about them.

We entered a small restaurant, crossing my arms I waited for him to talk to the person behind the counter.

"Guys this is where we part. Now you will follow her. Wish you all the best of luck!" The Kiriko said walking outside the restaurant.

I entered the elevator and just sat in a corner waiting and... Thinking.

Something I've been doing quite a lot lately. Traveling deep inside my thoughts. Something I would have avoided back at the house.

'Nothing feels alright. This darkness... This empty feeling. Lingering and never finding the exit. A traveler who got lost and decided to vacate inside of me. It's a void that I feel."

The elevator chimed breaking me out of my thoughts.

Inside the room there were a lot of people, which for the most part were men.

This is pitiful. In a sense women are far stronger than men. But every inch of us is underestimated as poor weak souls.

Looking at my surroundings some were staring right at my soul. I can sense their judgmental yet pervert stares. Making my eye twitch.

I used Gon as a shield. A pervert shield!

We were given some badges to keep order of the participants. Or most likely so the judges can see who gets eliminated faster. Like a horse race. They are probably betting on which they think will end in one piece.

Back with the badges, Gon was 405, Leorio was 403 and Kurapika was 404. I was 406 I don't really care since it's just a number.

Still holding to Gon's shoulders we were greeted by a small little green man.

He was like a small suited green bean.

I was about to leave when suddenly a fat guy came near us.
His badge was number 16.

"Hi I'm Tonpa!" He said with fake enthusiasm. Probably from repeating the same greeting over and over again.

First of all, what kind of name even is Tonpa?

"You guys are the new rookies right? Well lets drink some juice to commemorate your first time taking the exam."

Everyone took a can from him while I just stared at his extended arm.

He wiggled it for me to take it.

I hesitated but ended taking it.

I was about to drink it when Gon spilled the juice from his mouth. Kurapika didn't even taste it he just spilled it. I just looked at them waiting for them to explain why the hell they poured their drink on the floor.

"Tonpa I think your juice has gone bad." Gon said with a disgusted face.

Oh crap! I was about drink that. Well forget it I want to at least try it!

I drank a little bit of it, but the bitter face made my face contort in disgust.

It tasted like literal shit!

I took Leorio's arm and placed it near my mouth so the liquid fell on something else than the floor.

The floor was dirty enough from Gon's and Kurapika's spillage.

"What the hell Calypso!" Leorio screeched.

"Well I didn't want to spit the poison or juice as you would call it that he gave us on the floor so I your arm was perfect since your suit can absorb it." I smiled innocently.

(Author's note: She doesn't know it's poison she said it referring to the taste. Just to make that clear.)

"Don't do that again ok?" He said trying to wipe the juice off his suit.I just nodded completely oblivious to the fact that I'm disgusting.

I decided to walk around because waiting was too boring for me.

I guess I'll examinee-watch.

I saw this type of clown but his aura was powerful and scary. I kind of liked it.

Then I saw a ninja.

A teenage mutant ninja turtle!

Wait I don't know if he is a teenager or a mutant but he definitely is a ninja and a turtle!

Sadly, No he isn't really a turtle...

Then I saw a boy who looked like an assassin to me. Yeah I've always wanted to be one, but gave up on that dream after learning that pigs can't fly.

He had silver hair and blue eyes. His eyes were captivating. Almost like a prison, a cold jail cell.

I just couldn't look away from his eyes. They resembled torture and... And a deep emptiness. I felt like I was looking at myself through his eyes. They were like mirrors reflecting my own.

I stopped being a creep and walked back to Gon. He was near Kurapika and Leorio. I wanted to be with them but right now there was only one thing in my mind. It isn't the Void nor my emptiness. The only thing in my mind is...

Who is that boy?
