Chapter 24

Chloes P.O.V
I was only in the door, home from work when I got in to hear someone crying. I checked all the rooms downstairs and seen no one so I checked upstairs to see Casey in his and Danni's room. He was sitting on the bed with his head and I could hear him crying

"Casey, is everything okay?" I asked worried. I've been friends with Casey years and I've never seen him cry. Something serious must've happened.

"Danni she she" that's all he could say before he start crying again. "Casey, calm down, it's going to be okay" I reassured him. "Danni's dead" he sobbed. "No no no this is all a lie. Someone's playing a sick joke on us" I said, shaking.

My best friend is dead. She's never going to walk through that door again, I'm never going to see her smiling face in the morning. I ran downstairs and funny enough everyone was home now.

"Chloe, are you okay? What's wrong" Jade asked, rushing over to me. I fell into her arms and start sobbing. "Chloe, what happened" Chris asked. They all looked so worried because I've never sobbed in front of them.

"It's Danni" I managed to say. "What about her? Is she okay?" Chelsea asked, her voice shaking. "She's dead" I cried. "Please tell me this is a sick joke" Chelsea said, crying. "It's the truth Chels, Casey got a call earlier. I'm sorry" I said, pulling her into a hug.

"She's dead? So she's never going to walk through that door again? We won't get to hear her laughing or listen to her terrible jokes?" Jake asked, his voice cracking at the end.

Casey came down a few minutes later. Everyone was crying. "Casey, I'm so sorry" Reece said, pulling him into a hug. Dean, Sean, Kit, Kieran, Robbie, Parisa, Betsy, Mikey and Charlie walked in a few minutes later.

"I GOT PIZ...za" Dean shouted, trailing off at the end. "What happened here? Wheres Danni?" Parisa asked. "Is she in the bathroom?" Sean asked hopeful. I could tell he guessed what happened. I mean we were all crying and shaking and Danni was no where to be seen.

"No" James croaked out. "Where is she? Is she okay?" Dean asked worriedly. "She's dead" Charlie said, his voice cracking from crying. Dean dropped the pizza on the ground and put his head in his hands. "This is a joke right? Please tell me you're not serious" Kieran said.

"I got the call this morning" Casey croaked. "I can't believe it, my best friend is dead" Dean said. Casey pulled the Tiffanys box out of his pocket and looked at it.

"I'll never get to give her this" Caseys voice cracked. "Casey I'm so sorry oh my god" Jade said, running over and hugging him.

"I still can't believe this. I'm never going to see my best friend again, I'm never going to see her smile or hear her singing along to whatevers on the radio. I'm never going to hear her laugh again. I'm never going to hug her again. I can't do this" I said, crying.

"Chloe, will you come with me while I tell her parents? They need to know" Casey said. Casey and I walked to her parents house since neither of us were in the right state of mind to drive, in fact, none of were, we just lost our best friend.

A few minutes later we got to Danni's parents house. They usually keep the spare key under the mat so I checked there to see it was still there. I opened the door and walked into the sitting room to see Calum, Jesy, Amelia, Braxton, Jayne and Danni's parents. They were all crying, except for Braxton and Jayne since they were too young to understand.

I just looked at her parents and start sobbing again. "I can't believe this. Our baby is gone" her mam cried. "How did she die?" Casey asked, his voice cracking. Calum gave him the newspaper and on the front page it read
"CAR CRASH. ONE DEAD FIVE INJURED"
"She was in a car crash?" Casey said, putting the newspaper on the table. "I lost the love of my life. I'm never going to see her smiling face again am I?" Casey said, his voice shaking. "Casey I'm so sorry, we all have to stick together, Danni would want us to be strong. We have to do this, for her" Jesy said.

Caseys P.O.V
"I'm going to visit my parents, I'm sorry for your loss" I said, hugging Danni's parents. Truth is, I couldn't stand to be in the house any longer, it just reminded me so much of Danni. "Chloe can you tell everyone I'm staying in my parents house for a while?" I added before I left to go back to my parents house.

I'm never going to hug her again, I'll never hear her infectious laugh. I'll never get to wake up beside her again. She's gone. I get to my parents house a few minutes later. I don't even bother to wipe the falling tears because I know they'll keep coming.

"Casey is everything alright?" Coral asked as she moved out of the so I could come in. We walk into the sitting room where Chet and my parents sitting. "Case mate you alright" Chet asked.

"Danni was killed" was all I managed to say. "No. This is a lie right? Please Casey tell me your joking" Coral said, her voice cracking. Coral and Danni got along really well, Coral claimed that Danni was the sister she always wanted.

"She was in a car crash" I said. Chet just sat their silent. I could tell he was upset because Danni was like his sister as well.

"Casey we're so sorry" my mum said, crying. They had finally came to like Danni since I planned to propose to her. "I've lost the love of my life mam, I'll never get to talk to her again and tell her how much she means to me" I cried.

A while later, everyone was around in my house to plan the funeral. So this is real, I'm not just imagining things. "Casey, would you like to say a few words at the ceremony along with Chloe, Jake and Chelsea?" Her mam asked quietly. I just nodded my head, I was too numb to say anything.

Chloe was going to sing Wherever You Are since it was their song, Jake, Chelsea, Chloe and I were going to say a few words at the mass and Jade and Dean wanted to say a few words when we were burying her.

I still can't get over the fact I lost the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. It just goes to show you how quick you can go from being the happiest person ever to having your heat ripped out of your chest within a matter of seconds.

"I'm naming the baby girl after Dannielle, because she can never meet the babies, at least one was named after her" Jade said. "We can tell them all about how much we loved Danni and all the laughs we had with her" James said.

Everyone was writing what they were going to say but I was too upset to do anything. I lost the love of my life, I'll never get to start a family with the girl I've fought for. We've overcome jealous exs, my parents not liking her, me getting jealous because she was going for a catch up dinner with a friend. We've been through a lot and she still stood by my side.
