The Boy Next Door

Ch. 19

Today Nate and I are getting our schedules for school. Senior year, I hope it's great. I've been waiting for this year since I started school. We walk into school and to the cafeteria. I've been eating in this cafeteria for four years, but Nate looks like he just saw a dinosaur. I laugh at his facial expression, and take his arm and go to the schedule booth.

"This cafeteria is huge love!"  he practically yells which makes me giggle and roll my eyes.

"It's all great now, but wait until half of the town's population is in here, it gets a little stuffy." he laughs at that.

We make it up to the table, and my friend Sarah, she's on the student board and has had about 12 colleges ask for her to attend their school , is passing out the schedules for us.

"Hi Sarah!" I smile genuinely at her.

"Jules!!" she stands up and hugs me. "I was wondering when I'd see you today." she smiles and hands me my schedule, and I take it. "Who is this?" she asks and smirks mischievously at me, which makes me giggle.

"Sarah, this is my boyfriend, Nate." I point to him and smile. She sticks out her hand and shakes his hand.

"Hi Nate! I'm Sarah, Jules' friend." she smiles and hands him his schedule and we say our goodbyes. Nate and I walk away from the table to make room for the other students, and I compare our schedules.

"Well, at least we have Math and English together." I smile up at him. He gives me a pouty look, which makes me laugh.

"What if I get lost?"

"Nate, it's ok, I will show you around." I link arms with him and walk him through his schedule. I've seen so many girls check him out, like dang, take a picture it lasts longer.

Eventually we leave and decide to go school clothes shopping. Nate drives us to the mall and we walk in and start shopping. We first walk into Pac Sun and I help him pick out a few shorts and nice shirts and I get some cute clothes as well. Next we venture over to Journey, and I get myself a pair of black converse. After that we go eat lunch at the food court.

"So, I went to the doctors and they said if I'm easy on my foot I can get it off next week before school starts." Nate looks up after eating a mouth full of Chinese rice, and smiles at me, which makes me bust out laughing. After he swallows he says,

"That's great babe, you look pretty funny with a cast on." he grins at me and I gasps and throw some rice at his face, and I laugh.

"Oh you turd."

"You said I look funny with a cast!!"

"I'm sorry babe, I couldn't help that one." we both laugh.

Hey guys!! Sorry I haven't updated much, and this was just a filler chapter, trust me there will be drama coming up!! I've been having major writers block and school has taken over my life ugh.
