I stare at Nate not knowing what I should do. I'm still upset with him, but he does look really cute standing outside my window, smiling at me.

"Jules, meet me in your backyard." He smiles up at me encouragingly, I sigh and nod. I walk out of my room and slowly down the stairs so I don't wake anyone up. The next step I step on creaks, which makes me abruptly stop, glancing around. I continue down the stairs and slowly slide open the glass back door, and step outside. I close the door softly and look out to my backyard and see that Nate has set up a picnic for us. I slowly walk towards him, and see him standing there smiling holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand. I sigh and smile taking the roses he hands me.

"Nate, what is this all about?" He lightly puts his finger to my lips to shush me, and takes my hand and helps me sit on the white and red checkered blanket. I sit down and glance around at the lights he set up and then look down to the picnic basket. I look at him questionably, as he pulls out chocolate covered strawberries (my favorite) and hands me one. I take it and nibble on it, glancing up at him, as he sighs and looks down.

"Jules... I brought you out here to apologize. I never should have gotten mixed up with those dumb people. I didn't mean to hurt you, and I understand if you don't accept my apology, but I'm truly sorry. You're so important to me, and I don't want to lose you." he looks at me sincerely, and I look down, unsure of what to say.

"I don't give a lot of people second chances..." I sigh and look up at him to see the disappointment in his face, "but, I'll give you one, because you mean so much to me, and you've helped me through so much." I look up at him again to see that his face has lightened up. He pulls my face close to his, and looks in my eyes, asking for permission, I nod, smiling, and he kisses me. The kiss is slow and sweet, as he holds my face in his hands. We slowly pull away from each other, smiling. I finish my strawberry and look at Nate to see him chuckling, trying to hold his laughter in. I look at him confused,

"What's so funny?"

"You've got chocolate on your chin." He grins and licks the chocolate off my chin causing me to squeal and let out giggles.

"Nate! That's gross!"

"No, I'd say it was pretty good." He grins cheekily at me and we bust out in laughter. After we finish the strawberries, we lay down on the blanket and stare up at the stars.

"Thank you." I look over at Nate and smile,

"For what?" He smiles at me and holds my hand, bringing it to his lips,

"For giving me another chance, when you didn't have to." I smiled, blushing,

"You're so important to me, I hated being mad at you, and us being separated."

After we cleaned up, we went to our houses waving good-bye. That night i went to bed smiling.
