After a few days at the Potters', the girls were now preparing to depart. The boys would stay a few more days before going home, but the girls, Sabrina particularly, feared outstaying their welcome. Surprisingly, Sabrina had found herself very comfortable around the Gryffindor girls, and they'd laughed and gossiped, just as she previously had with Adeline and Natalia, in a matter of days being there.

Packing their bags in the room they'd been sharing, they'd promised to write to one another over the week they had left until the return to school. In honesty, Sabrina wished Adeline and Natalia could be there too, however she was content with the new group she seemed to have acquired.

"'Scuse me, ladies," there was a knock at the door, "Would anyone object to the theft of my lovely girlfriend for just one moment?" Sirius stood there, smirking as per usual.

"Yes, I would, actually," Marlene replied, "I've come to the conclusion that I like your girlfriend more than you do."

"Funny." Sirius smiled with sarcasm, as Sabrina set down the clothes she was folding and walked with him into the hallway.

"You alright?" she asked gently, closing the spare bedroom's door behind her.

"It's the eighth today." he announced.

"Looked at the calendar, did we?"

"Are you daft?" he said with an exaggerated widening of his eyes, a smile growing, "We've been together for a month."

She nodded with realisation, "Oh, yeah. Well, happy one month." She smiled, leaning against the wall.

"Yeah," he smiled contently, "I got you something."

"Really? Oh, now I feel bad."

"Don't," he said, excitedly, "I got myself something too!" He pulled out a box, and in it lay two necklaces, each with a simple 'S' attached. He handed one of them to her, "This one's for you."

"Is this for Sabrina or Sirius." she smiled.

"Well, I'll leave that up for interpretation," he joked, "But I think the 'S' on mine looks more Sabrina-y, don't you think?"

She laughed lightly, "Thank you." she said, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his chest.

"I'll miss you when you leave." he said. His chin rested on her head and she could feel the movement when he spoke.

"I'll only be gone a week."

"Yeah, but then we're back at school, and OWLs are in, like, a month. We'll be drowning in homework."

"I wouldn't worry, you won't do it anyway." she joked.

"Oi, piss off." he snapped humorously. "Promise you'll write to me this week. And if it goes wrong with Sadie and Seth you can come back here."

"Promise." she pulled back, smiling up at him as her hands moved to the back of his neck, his still at her waist.

Sabrina had said her goodbyes to the Gryffindors and thanked the Potters for letting her stay, and was now standing outside her siblings' house, where she had apparated. Truthfully, she hadn't let either of them know she was coming, or even that she wasn't living with Sam anymore. She was hoping they would just let her in.

Admittedly it wasn't the best plan in the world, but nevertheless she walked up the door with her suitcase in one hand, and rang the doorbell with the other. She saw Seth poke his head around the curtain which hung in front of the full-length window at the side of the door. He looked puzzled at her awkward smile, and she heard a faint 'Sadie!' before the door opened cautiously.
