(quick author's note: this chapter is kinda short. There will also be violence and a swear word.)
Hunter and I skipped class together. we had already missed the first 20 minutes, and we were both straight A students, so skipping 1 class wouldn't do much harm.
The bell finally interupts our fun. At the end of the hallway we sat, spitting sunflower seed shells at each other.
I spot the two blonde witches, and tense up. Hunter rubbs my back, but I'm terrified. Emily and Michelle looked like tiny, fragile girls, but they both played girl's volleyball, cheerleading, and wrestling. I could quite easily get hurt.
I myself took karate lessons from 12 years old, until last year. That doesn't mean I was ever good at it.
Michelle's icy stare scans the two of us. I know it's coming. I pretend to ignore it until Emily grabs me by my hair and pulls me up off of Hunter's lap.
"I told you not to go near Hunter you bitch!" She aggressively whispers in my ear. She throws me against the locker, while Michelle throws a killer punch. Thanks to Emily's powerful force, I miss her fist by a centimetre.
Hunter starts to throw a punch, but then hesitates, realizing he can't hit a girl.
"Enough! Enough!" Mrs. Spinelli shouts, before the fighting can go any further.
I break away from their grasp and fall into Hunter's arms.
"I'm sorry Amanda, I wanted to protect you... b, but they're girls... and I c, c-" I cut him off with a gentle kiss.
"I'm calm." He says.*****
I did it, I survived the first attack. Mrs. Spinelli broke it up this time, but it wouldn't long before they come after me again.
I've never felt this afraid before. But It wasn't Michelle and Emily who I was fearful of. I was always this head-strong girl. I had walls built up so I wouldn't get hurt. I think maybe Hunter was breaking them, and nobody has done that before. That is what I was afraid of.
I spot Thalia across the street of the school. I hadn't walked home with her in a long time, so I decided to do it today. I look over and wave. Thalia starts across the street, when all of a sudden, a car slams into her body.
