It was nearing the end of the school year, and it had been a crazy one indeed. I sat on the corner of my bed, doing the same thing I had done on the first day of school. I scroll through my instagram feed, looking at posts of my old friends. This time, I don't feel left out. I smile lightly as good memories from this year float in my head.
I had gone through some stuff, and I was still getting over some of that stuff, but I was glad that I moved.
I decide to walk up to Hunter's house and knock on his door. His mom answers and tells me that He's in the backyard.
Hunter sits shirtless in a lawnchair with a drink in his hand. I pull up a chair to sit beside him."Hunter." I say, finally after a long pause of silence. But it was a nice silence. He raises an eyebrow and turns toward me, as if to ask "what?"
"Thank you." I breathe. He sits up. "I came to this school with no friends. You were the popular boy, and I was the new girl, but somehow you still liked me. I didn't mean to fall for you, but after I did, you surprised me. You were so good to me, and you made and still make me so happy.... I love you.""I love you too." He smiles. He pulls me in for a long, passionate kiss. We break apart and I smile lightly as i reach into my bag. I pull out a black sharpie.
"Can you believe, it all started with this?" I ask. "You noticed me because the teacher caught me doodling on my hand with this sharpie."
"I would have noticed you anyway. You're too extraordinary." He smiles. "Here i have something for you."
He pulls out and box and opens it. Inside is a ring. "Now don't freak out, i know we're too young to get married. It's a promise ring. It symbolizes my promise to love you."
"Hunter you're too sweet to me. I love you."
"I love you too darling."THE END
