Nick bobbed his head with the music, his drink splashing in his cup ever so softly. The music wasn't his favorite, playing Doja Cat and other modern day pop artists, yet he still danced and smiled. His friends dancing as well, they didn't seem to notice him very much.

His head was pounding, the room shifting as he took a step. Perhaps he was wasted, or maybe on the verge of blackout. A hand crept to his shoulder and he was turned towards one of his friends, "nick...?" He longed to hear what the words spilling out of his friends mouth meant, he really couldn't hear that well.

"You should really- and maybe take some water? —- nick? What a—- " each sentence sounded broken and slurred, he replied quickly, " Nah man, I'm good really!" Nick thought he sounded normal and convincing, though the look on his friends face clearly stated he said something wrong. More words spilled out of his friends mouth as they attempted to drag him somewhere. "No!" Nick yelled, his voice didn't travel very far due to the blasting music, he freed himself and ran to a empty hallway.

There he slid down a wall with a groan, this party was getting boring. He didn't know anyone and his friends kept trying to drag him into places he didn't wanna go.

"Hey you okay?..." a new voice spoke lightly, somehow the voice overpowered the music. Nick could barley lift his head to see the person, it seemed to be a large blonde kid. "Huh?... yeah- don't worry dude. Just taking a breather!" He spoke cheerily but it obviously shocked the blonde kid, he muttered something softly and picked Nick up. "What the hell! Put me down!! Who the fuck are you?!?" Nick screamed, the guy seemed startled by the sudden screaming and ushered him to quiet it down.

He didn't have the strength to really fight the guy so yelling was his only option and that was a stretch in itself, his voice getting weaker and weaker as they walked somewhere. Nick groaned as he felt himself being lowered to the ground slowly, a light flickering on. It was bright and looked like a bathroom, except weirdly placed.

He looked in front of himself and saw the toilet, the urge to throw up became very strong suddenly. "Fuck... that doesn't feel cool." Nick groaned and let his head hang, the sound of running water filled his ears. What was this blonde asshole doing?!

Nick lifted his head to see the guy washing his hands with a frown, he turned towards Nick and spoke, "don't worry, I just assumed you might need to throw up. Your wasted dude." Somehow Nick heard him clearly, "what no! I'm not!" He argued as he placed his hands on his thighs, the blonde giving a smile.

"You may not know this, but you sound completely drunk." Nick gasped with offense, whether it be jokingly or not the blonde shook his head with a smile, turning the water off he lifted himself and sat on the sink.

"I don't sound drunk do I?..." Nick questioned himself with a uncertainty filled look, the blonde grinned and nodded before replying, "every word you speak comes out slurred, I'm surprised you can even hear me. How much did you drink bro?" Nick groaned, he was being fucking babysat by a random asshole.

"None of your damn business dickhead." The guy chuckled and swung his feet carefully, he eyes peering into nicks. "Your a mean drunk." Nick scoffed and gagged, turning his head to throw up. He could hear the guy ripping off a paper towel, he turned his head slowly and grabbed the paper towel, wiping his mouth and sighing.

Nick decided to speak first, "what's your name...?" He assumed that he should at least ask the name of this asshole so he could know who to avoid at school. "I'm Clay. You are?" The name sounded familiar but something in his mind blocked any connection to it, probably the alcohol.

"Nick.. I'm Nick. " it sounded like he was trying to convince himself but clay didn't seem to care, instead he seemed more content on staring at his converse.

"Yknow... I usually don't drink.. I'm more of a smoker.." Nick chuckled softly, a small hum of confusion left clay as he turned his attention on Nick. "I like getting high more then drunk, getting drunk sucks..." it was clays turn to chuckle this time, his reply making Nick scoff. "Then why did you drink?"

"Obviously because I didn't bring weed! Plus it's free alcohol! You wouldn't pass that up would you?" Clay rolled his eyes, "I don't enjoy drinking either, I love smoking though." A small smile made its way to Nicks face, letting his head rest on his arms that laid on the seat of a toilet. Not his proudest moment.
"If I wasn't so fucked up already, I'd smoke with you." A questioning look made it's way to the blondes face, turning away he chuckled, "you would smoke with a random stranger?" Nick giggled and lifted his head up slowly, "yeahhhh, I'm chill."

Nick watched the blonde roll his eyes before he lifted himself off of the sink and stretched before turning his attention back to the boy before him, "do you have a ride home?" Nick groaned and stood up, leaning against the wall. "Why's it matter to you?" A sigh left the blonde as he stepped closer. "Cause your too cute to leave alone and drunk." Nick couldn't fathom the strength to register the name so he only nodded and closed his eyes slowly, "no, I was planning to walk home. "

A small shuffle was heard before he heard a reply, "great, your coming back to my place then!" Nick groaned and threw his head back like a child throwing a fit, "what if you assault me!? I cant trust you!" He opened his eyes half way to see the expression that played on clays face as he responded, "if I wanted that then don't you think I would've already done that? Plus I may be an asshole but I'm not a piece of shit. I know how to be a decent human." Nick couldn't struggle, instead he just nodded and closed his eyes, the last feeling he registered was arms wrapping around his figure.
