Monday came much to quickly for Nicks liking, people crowding the hall and suffocating him in the thick air that holds the loud voices of students talking. This place really was stressful...

"Nick!" He didn't have to turn around to know it was clay, "hello clay." His voice lacked care or expression, but it was no different to clay. You don't talk to strangers like your happy. "Do you wanna hang out this weekend?" Nick processed the question brought up to him before replying with a empty expression, "sure why not? What do you have in mind?" Clay smirked and put a finger up to his lips, Nick assumed it was a surprise.

"Clay!" He watched as the blonde whipped around towards some other jocks and waved before peering at Nick over his shoulder, "wanna meet my friends?" Nick shrugged and unsurprisingly got tugged by the blonde. "Yo clay! Who is that?" Nick was shoved in front of clay and he was met with many tall guys, all looking down at him like he was a stranger.

Well he was.

"This is nick! He's my..." Nick gazed at the green eyes that suddenly lost their sparkle, he didn't care. "We're strangers." His friends seemed to be confused but went with it, "cool! What do you do?" Nick peered at one guy who spoke up, he had brown hair and two different colored eyes. "Uh i play the guitar?" The guys looked at each other with smiles before all returning their attention to Nick and nodding, the guy spoke up again, "do you do a sport?"

He rolled his eyes and groaned quietly, "no." The guys looked at each other again, yet this time they lacked a smile as they returned their attention to the raven. "Let me guess, football?" Nick stated and watched as all the guys smiled and nodded in their dumb pride, "why don't you join?" The brunette smirked as he bent down lightly, Nick was gonna strangle this asshole. "Because i would rather not get brain damage and long lasting scars?" The guys seemed to enjoy this joke and all shared a laugh, well except for the brunette. Another guy spoke, his hair was dyed white and he seemed to like frogs, suggested by his frog bucket hat and many frog pins.

"Would you rather do cheerleading? Oh oh! Maybe you can be our water boy!" Nick expected this to another joke but the guys seemed to actually consider this idea, even Clay seemed pretty happy about this. "I'm not being your damn water boy." The guys all seemed to look at clay, suggesting he talk Nick into it.

Clay merely looked down at the raven pressed close in front of him, a small nervous smile on his face. "Drop that smile. I'm not doing it!" Nick spoke through gritted teeth, Clay frowned slightly with puppy dog eyes. The shorter shook his head with a glare and started to walk off, "don't worry I'll convince him guys." Clay grinned before catching up with Nick.

"Nick~" the raven furrowed his eyebrows as he heard him name being sung by the one and only, he spoke with annoyance, "stop following me." Clay ignored the comment and continued by the side of the shorter, it was obvious that Nick didn't really have a destination and was just randomly walking. He soon sat down at a side table in the commons though, Clay taking a seat across from him.

"Sooooo-"

"No clay."

Clay pouted towards the raven, it was a suitably good idea. "I'm not being a water boy, plus I don't even know you." The blonde was really starting to hate this whole strangers thing, the unknown of each other making it harder to get along. "Well let's learn about each oth-" Clay was cut off again, "no. We are strangers Clay, you know this. You keep chasing me or you let me go." It was a harsh mindset towards the taller that seemingly only wanted to be friends with him but he didn't care. "Well luckily for you I'm fast." Clay stated like it was a prideful fact even though Nick was in track for years. Nick snorted at clays 'fact' and let out a small 'sureeee'

Nick peered up at the blonde who looked around the commons, that sparkle in his eyes appearing again. He couldn't help but think, what do you want with me?

Not that it mattered, he only had less then 5 months to go before he graduates and starts his dream job. It was just an odd action. " can you at least think about it?" The question that slipped out of the blonde didn't fail to shake Nick out of his thoughts, his reply wasn't all that quick. "How would I even make it on the team?" The blonde perked up with interest at the question Nick pushed upon him, finally showing his own bit of interest. " we can recommend you! If we get enough recommendations to our coach then he's likely to let you join, especially since we don't really have a water boy..." Clay seemed to get quiet at the end of his sentence, thinking to himself about god knows what.

"Yeah I'll think about it." Nick grumbled, not partially happy with this whole thing but he only had 4 months... so it was at least taken into thought. "I'm heading to class." Nick stood up and dusted off his pants, a small amount of silence between them before it was broken off by clay. "Can I walk you there?"

It was such a simple question... yet it still made Nick freeze, Clay seemed to be good at doing that. He scoffed, "yeah sure... if you want." A simple question followed with a less simple answer, yet it still made that dumbass brighten up. Before Nick even processed it, he was walking down the hall with the blonde attached to his side.

It felt like a curse, everyone staring at you... judging eyes glaring your soul down. Nick hated it, he hated this spotlight that was forced upon him. "Walk faster." He muttered to the blonde, it didn't seem to bother his annoying and tall blonde companion but it definitely made him roll his eyes.

"You should just accept me, we could be best frie-" Clay was interrupted by the death glare given to him, he knew this strangers thing would never end. He realized it when he watched Nick walk into the classroom without a single glance behind him...
